My face softened as Sodapop broke down in tears in front of me, "hey, hey, hey! Sodapop, it's ok. What's wrong?"

He looked up and glared at me, "no, it's not ok! You and Mark huh? You know I thought you hated him," he yelled.

My stomach dropped and I twisted my face in disgust, "Me and Mark? No way!" I said.

"That's not what Evie just had to say," Sodapop retorted in frustration.

"Evie said that I, Katy William, cheated on you with Mark?" I asked for clarification. Sodapop simply nodded his head. "Well where did she hear that from?"

"Lisa and Linda who heard it from Mark themselves!" He said.

My stomach dropped, this is what they had planned. "Well I did no such thing!"

"Sure, I'm not an idiot, Katy. I heard him last night he was basically giving himself to you! God you're just like Sandy," he sighed.

"Did if ever occur to you that they were lying!? Where you even at the park last night?" I angrily stated.

"Yea, yea I was there last night," he said rolling his eyes.

"Well I haven't done anything with Mark!"

"Katy it's probably best for you to leave," Sodapop stated blankly.

"Sodapop, please just listen to me! Just hear me out," I pleaded tears threatening to spill.

"Just go," he said.

"Where do you expect me to go?" I whispered.

He shrugged and I stormed at of the store, glaring at Steve.

I ran to Dally's house, ok Buck's place. I had to let him know what was going on before Sodapop told him his side of the story.

Out of breath, I bursted into Buck's place, accidentally running into him, and ran up the stairs to Dal's room. He was lying on the bed, staring at the ceiling.

"Hey Dal," I whispered.

"Oh, hey Katy. What's up?" He said remaining in the same position.

I sighed about to break down. Dally sat up in bed and wrapped his arms around me as I began to sob.

"I think that Lisa and Linda just ruined my relationship with Sodapop," I said between sobs.

"How so?" Dally asked.

I began to tell him the story of what happened and he listened. Dally was a good listener when he wanted to be, he would look you in the eyes and never interrupt. He wouldn't nod his head at important times, he didn't need to.

When I finished telling my soap opera he sighed, "I agree, the timing is just so weird. You know? Lisa and Linda want to get back at you and the next day they turn Sodapop against you. It has to be them," he stated.

"But why Evie? Out of all people, why did Lisa and Linda choose Evie?" I asked.

"There could be a lot of reasons, Evie is hungry for popularity and Lisa and Linda can give that to her. Also Evie is a poor Greaser who is desperate for some quick cash. Plus, Steve treats you like a little sister, you literally mean the world to him. Doesn't it make sense that Evie is a bit jealous of you?" He explained.
