I roamed around aimlessly, again without any source of protection. The tears streaming down my face were big and they came out fast. I didn't know if I would ever be able to stop crying. The one time I finally feel wanted, accepted, by someone other than Adam, I blow it. I can't take much more of this honestly. Soda needs to get a grip. I found myself kicking the rocks on the pavement as I walk circles around town.

"Kathryn!" I turned around and faced my savior, Dally. He didn't seem too happy. I decided to turn around and keep walking. Dally has known Soda forever, he knew me for a day. Barely. "Katy, wait," he pleaded.

"What do you want? To call me a liar? Kick me to the curb?" I said, chocking on my tears.

"No Katy, trust me. We gave Soda a good talking to for you. He was way out of line. But I don't think you should go back there, you can stay with me," Dally said, embracing me into a hug.

I giggled, "what do you mean you gave Sodapop a good talking to?" I asked.

"Well..."

Sodapop POV

I'm furious... at myself. Katy was only trying to look out for me and I thanked her by calling her a liar and leaving her with no place to go. Even if she did like me before, there is no way she'll ever like me again. I sighed, fighting the urge to cry.

"You dumb idiot. Sandy is probably cheating on you, I should know because it has happened to me before," Dally said clearly angered. He out of everyone was probably closet to Katy. "Now I'm going to go and fix what you did," he said narrowing his eyes at me. Great now Dally hates me too. He stormed out of the house to find Katy.

"What the hell man? What did she ever do to you?" Steve said, looking like he was about to cry.

"Steve," I began to talk but he cut me off.

"I don't even want to talk to you right now," he snapped. I bit my lip, tears threatened to come out. My best friend. My own best friend hates me now too.

"You know, Katy is 100 times better than Sandy. You're just too blind to see it man. I don't want to be like you anymore Soda," my heart broke as I heard my kid brother, Ponyboy, try to knock some sense into me.

Two-Bit looked like he was about to say something but I cut him off, "just leave me alone. I don't want to talk to you guys anymore. I get it. I'm a horrible person," I said, storming off into my room.

Kathryn's POV
I held back a laugh as me and Dally walked back to Bucks. There was a big party going as usual but Dally took my hand and led me upstairs to his room. I sat down on his bed, shaking my head. {when I become a poet} "Dally, what would I do without you?" I said, looking up at him.

He laughed, "probably die. You couldn't bear to live without me." He started to mess up my hair and tickle me.

"Dally- stop- it," I said out of breath. "I can't breath Dally!" I was laughing so hard my face was about to turn purple. I finally mustered up the strength to push Dally off of me and I was now on top of him, tickling him.

"I'm sorry Katy! Stop it!" He too was now out of breath.

"Not until you say, 'Kathryn Williams is the greatest human being alive and I will always bow down to her'," I continued tickling him.

"No way!" He said. I rolled my eyes and continued to tickle him, knowing he wouldn't be able to handle it much longer. "Fine! Fine! Kathryn Williams is the greatest human being alive and I will always bow down to her!" He said, out of breath. I got off of him laughing. We layed on the bed next to each other, listening to each others breathing patterns. I guess when you out it that way it sounds pretty creepy. I sat up and looked around the room. Dally sat up too. He cleared his throat, "Katycakes, you don't deserve Sodapop. You're way out of his league, so don't worry about Sandy or any of that. If he doesn't like you back it wasn't meant to be," he said, putting an arm around me.
