2 weeks later

John came over around midnight, when everyone in my house was sleep...including me. He woke me up by tossing rocks at my bedroom window and I invited him in...We tiptoed up the steps and into my room. We stayed up laughing, telling each other how much we liked each other, and kissing. I've never done anything like this and it felt nice! I had a boyfriend...John was my boyfriend. He was the best boyfriend...We'd hold hands at school, he'd drop me off at work and pick me up. Sometimes he'd even hang out with my brothers and me on Sundays. I do admit that I've been kinda outta touch with Kara and Anna, but It's just because John and I are still in the honeymoon phase of our relationship. I ended up laying on top of him...my face buried in his neck, while he laid his hand upon my lower back.

"You're house is..."

"Messy?" I added with a quiet laugh.

"Not even...it's cute, just like you." He smile as he placed a kiss upon the tip of my nose, "I love coming over here..." I face burned with embarrassment and delight. I snuggled up to him tight.

"Haha...you're just saying that." I sighed happily, "I wish we could lay like this forever." I could feel his heart beat, going faster.

"We should...chill tomorrow." He beamed at me.

"I wish we could, but...Mr. Contumacy put me down for work tomorrow." I sighed. It kinda got quiet after that...It was obvious John was upset that we couldn't hang out tomorrow. I wanted to spend as much time as possible with him, but...I can't just skip work, can I? I peeked up at his face...his eyes were closed, but I knew he wasn't asleep, "Babe...Are you okay?"

"Sure.." He sighed. My theory of him being upset was confirmed. I couldn't live with myself if I upset him, so I decided to stop being selfish and do the right thing.

"I'll call in sick tomorrow so we can spend the whole day together." I cheered quickly. He looked at me with a sparkle in his eyes.

"You'd do that?" He asked with the biggest grin ever. The sight of his smile justified that I did the right thing.

"Of course...Relationships are about compromise and missing one day of work isn't going to hurt anyone."

"You're amazing, babe." He planted a big, sloppy kiss on my mouth and continued to cuddle with me some more until I fell asleep.

RULE #24: Relationships are ALL about compromise.

When morning came John was gone, Thank God! If my dad...or even worse my brothers caught him here, He and I would both be dead. I could smell the aroma of bacon and pancakes. I quickly rushed down the stairs to find Marty cooking, Jake cleaning, and Liam reading the newspaper...each one of them ignored my presence. No 'Good Morning, T!' or 'Hey Lil Sis.' Just pure silence. I grabbed a plate out of the cupboard and covered it with two flappy jacks and a tower of bacon.

"Morning my very, very quiet brothers..." I replied. Liam peeked up from his newspaper, his shaggy brown hair was shaggier than ever. He looked at me, then his eyes shifted to Jake.

"Hey, Jake...did you hear something?" Liam sighed, covering his face again.

"Nope...Nothing at all. How about you, Marty?" Jake passed on the question. Marty just shook his head without looking away from the shove.

"Hello? It's me...you're favorite little sister, Tea?!" I scoffed.

"There it is again? Did you here that, Liam?" Jake sighed with confusion.

"I think so...hmm. That voice sounds familiar..." Liam sighed.

"Must be a ghost." Marty added.

"It must be...since whoever is talking is DEAD to us!" Jake glared at me. I put my plate down on the counter.

"Okay...What did I do now?" I ask as I sat upon the kitchen counter. They all remained quiet again, " Tell me what I did wrong or else!" I hissed at them. They looked at each other.

"Or else what?" Liam asked.

"I'll start singing Let It Go again....as LOUD as I can." I folded my arms and smirked at them.

"She's bluffing. She doesn't even know the lyrics.." Marty asserted them.

"Oh really..." I cleared my throat, " LET IT GOOOO! HERE I STAND! COLD NEVER BOTHERED MEEEEEEEEE ANYWAYS!" They all covered their ears as the sound of my pitching tone.

"Fine! Fine!" Jake was the first to crack, "Tell her what you saw Liam.."

"I saw John leaving your room at 3 in the morning. Care to explain." Liam said. I became tense. They knew! Did Dad know? Where was Dad, anyways? Probably planning my funeral...or out killing John.

"N-Nothing happened." I sighed.

"She stuttered! She's lying!" Marty pointed out.

"I'm not lying! We talked, kissed, and planned to hang out today." I replied. The all looked at each other again.

"Swear?" Liam asked.

"I swear."

"Spit swear?" Jake added.

"Ew, but yes...I spit swear." Jake and I both spit in our our hands...and shook hands tightly. It was slimy and gross, but it proved my innocence, so in a way it was worth it, "Did you guys say anything to Dad?

"If we did....you'd be in a casket by now, don't you think?" Marty laughed. I nodded uneasily as I picked back up my plate and devoured my breakfast.
