I came up with a name for this chapter! Trust me it'll all make sense. Eventually. When doesn't it? Anyway when I get a chance I'm going to edit this story and add in a chapter name. Enjoy! Comment and Vote!~Writergirlsoccer

Ella's P.O.V.

I hadn't slept for long when I was awoken by a scream. I was pushed away from where ever I ended up moving to in my sleep. My face was now against the ground. The scream kept going. Then it got more high pitched. It was horrible. I had heard the scream before. That is all I knew.

I tried to turn around and get off the ground. Something was keeping me down. I didn't know what it was. It was strong. The shriek kept growing. It was getting louder and louder. The louder the shriek, the harder I was pushed against the ground.

I reach down into my pocket as best as I could. I didn't want to alarm the intruder. I slipped my hand into my back pocket. I pulled out my pocket knife. I blindly stabbed the intruder. At first I had gotten myself. I felt no pain. I then got the intruder. He laughed and slapped my hand. He took the knife and lied it against my neck.

He will not be affected young one. You must out smart him.

The voice had returned. It was frightening at first. I had not expected it. But then I took in it's words. He will not be affected young one. You must out smart him.

I pondered over it's words. How am I unable to hurt it? It must be a vampire. By then why would it be attacking me? I'm the princess after all. I'm not one to be hostile with. Then it hit me. He was mad. That's why he is attacking. That is why I have to outsmart him. It is easy to outsmart a mad man. Most of the time that is.

"Why are you attacking?" I ask.

"What?" He says in confusion.

"We have not done you any harm." I say. "So why do you attack us?"

"Your murderers." He says.

"Murderers? We are innocent children." I lie in a calming voice.

"What about the mermaid?" He questions.

"Mermaid? You must be hallucinating. There are only four innocent people here." I say.

"Why aer you here?" He says.

"Camping. My brother and I. We had brought along my boyfriend and my brother's girlfriend." I lie.

"There are two males here? I only see the one. Where is the other?" It yelled.

One of them has left. Neither of them would though. So why was only one of them here? I had to get him to let go of me.

I had encounter many mad people before. Now that I think about it, he might not even be a vampire. He might just be some mad man who found his was into here. He might be too mad to have felt the pain of the knife. He might have attacked us because we were here.

I heard a groaning noise. "Shut up!" Yelled the man. "This will put you to sleep."

He bends down and shoves something into my mouth. He held my nose. The drink was forced down my throat. He then removed his, what I had guessed, foot from my back.

I turned to get up and attack him. But my eyes grew heavy. I knew what the drink was. Sleep syrup. I had heard struggling. Then everything went silent.

I was forcing my eyes to stay open. I kept telling myself 'keep your eyes open'. I knew that if I let the sleep syrup take me, we would die. I tuned into all my senses. That is what I have to focus on.
