Ella's P.O.V.

I picked up the pace. It started to rain. I hated today. I wanted everything to end. I wanted to wake up from this nightmare. I wanted to wake up and be in Dustin's arms. But I knew that wouldn't happen. I knew that nothing that I wanted would happen. This is going to be my last night with Dustin.

I stormed past everyone and went straight to me room. I didn't want to see anyone see me like this. I had mixed emotions. I was angry, depressed, and scared. I hated the direction that fate had brought me. I wanted everything to change.

I take the journal. I flip to a page. It was recipes for potions. I went to the one I was looking for.

I read the page. The Mortalias Potion. This potion can turn any mythical being into a mortal. The potion is irreversible and permanent. All the powers the being had before drinking shall be taken away. This should never be taken unless completely positive about becoming mortal. THE EFFECTS ARE PERMANENT.

I took a deep breath.

Do you really wish to take away your vampire abilities? You will be frail. You will start to age and die. You cannot do this. The voice said in displeasure.

I read the ingredients.

You shall not do this. It yelled angrily.

My eyes grew wide. My head was stinging. Cuts appeared in my hands. They formed letters. They spelt out 'you shall not die in my care'. My arm where I was burned felt like a knife was driven into it. I looked at it. There was a huge 'C' carved in the side. On the bottom curve there was an 'x'. A snake coiled around the entire letter. Blood rushed out of it.

I ran to the bathroom. I cleared up the blood. How was he able to get deep enough to get my blood? Since my mother was mortal when I was born I had a beating heart and blood. My veins are hidden deep and are nearly unreachable. My heart beats softly that it is unable to be heard.

The words on my hands faded. The mark on my arm stayed. I felt it with my hand. It was a scar now.

I wrapped it up roughly with bandages. The bandages fell off. He was making sure that I couldn't cover it up. I jumped in a cold shower and cleared my mind. I needed everything to be okay before  the battle. I wanted my last night with Dustin to be perfect.

I put on my dress and makeup. I threw my cloak on over it. I put on the bracelet that Logan gave me and my mask. I looked at the gem stone on my necklace. I sat on my window seat. I remembered the night when I had sneaked out and went to the clearing.

I heard some one knock on my door. "Can I come in?" It was Harry.

"Yes." I answered.

He walked in. He was dressed up in a black suit. He sat down across from me.

"You okay?" He asked.

"Yeah. I guess I'm just nervous." I admitted.

"He'll make sure that you won't be as soon as he sees you." He smiled. I knew by 'he' Harry meant Dustin. "You ready to go?"

He held out his hand. I take it and he helps me up. As we are walking to the door, I nearly fell. I looked down. I slipped on my pocket knife. I picked it up.

"You should bring it. We might have to go strait to the clearing. You'll need it." Harry says.

I slip it in between my ankle and heel strap. We walk out of the room. My mother offered to drive us. We kindly refused and walked. It was silent for most of the time.
