Ella's P.O.V.

The memory came back to me. In the woods of Pennsylvania. Damien's mission; to get me back to the house safely. I had went hunting that day. I had no idea that we were about to be attacked. Damien soon caught up to me. I knew something was wrong, all the animals were hiding before I got close.

He told me our house was under attack. He was suppose to get me to the haven. We were then attacked by two adult werewolves and their son. They readied to attack Damien. I cried out that they were attacking him from the side. That is how they heard his name. Damien was able to protect himself. They were about to penetrate his chest with a wooden stake. I pushed them off. They stabbed my hand.

Someone then had came. In our pack he is only known as Blood Wind. He is a master assassin. He had attacked the adult werewolves. They didn't stand a chance. No one stood a chance against Blood Wind. He moved swiftly. He had been attacked many times by previous foes. They all were able to hit only one place. His top left fang. The alpha werewolf had knocked out his fang. That is why I had taken an interest in the abnormally large fang.

"That Damien murdered my parents. Now he can't take the blood out of anything again. I vow to murder him." Jack states.

I clench my fists. It had been too dark for such a young werewolf to see what had truly happened. I wanted to tell Jack the truth. But if I told him I was one of the vampires that were there on the night of his parents death, then I shall be one of his victims. So I kept my mouth shut.

Jack had been right. Accept that Damien can take blood easily. Blood Wind cannot though. His top left fang was abnormally large. That is why that was the only place his adversaries could attack. Without all a vampire's fangs, they cannot drain the blood from the living. Most were destined for death after losing a fang.

But Blood Wind is still alive. He can survive without blood. He has for many decades. He is not like other vampires. He has great strength. He is someone most try to avoid. They believe he is cold and bitter. They are right. But they are wrong when they say he kills all. He doesn't kill anyone for amusement. He kills when he knows he must. He has never smiled they say. They are again wrong. He smiles at the memories of his past. He was a great man before he was turned. No one knows this though. He has been a vampire for centuries. He rarely speaks for good reasons. He knows that with speaking comes explanations. That people understand his reasons. I had grown up learning them. He had lived with my family hundreds of years ago, in the times where I appeared five years old.

"Okay. Let's get off that subject and eat." Dustin said with a smile.

Dustin is always the one who tries to resolve conflict, even if he's not a part of it. I walked over to the pool. We sat down and started to eat. After we ate everyone went to bed. We didn't bind Jack tonight. He has been getting better and we are reaching the end of the week.

I sit against the wall. Dustin comes and sits next to me.

"Hey." He says.

"Hi." I say.

"You seemed distant earlier. Anything on your mind?" He asks.

"It's nothing." I lie.

"Ella. I know you're lying. Come on. You can tell me." He insist.
