Cain

Cain was beyond pissed. After heading back to the bar he saw his pack talking amongst themselves.

"Where did you go?" Jude asked after noticing Cain but he simple shook his head. He saw then that Shay was glancing over to them from afar.

"We should go talk to her, see if she's the real deal." Sienna nodded however Cain was not in the mood.

"Now is not the time." He mumbled.

"What do you mean? Now is the perfect time." Benno insisted but just as Benno was about to move he could hear a low snarl which caused him to immediately freeze. His head lowered at Cain as he noticed his alpha's expression darken.

Jude was conflicted with the situation. He was so unsure about what had caused Cain to behave this way, as he too thought that this was the time for them to investigate Shay. He looked around and noticed that the Rogue had disappeared, maybe they had a fallout? Jude thought.

"Let's go." Cain was already heading for the door.

"But we just got here" Sienna nagged but Jude gave her a look which made her go silent. After seeing Ezra leaving with that rogue he was annoyed yet his curiosity grew even more towards the boy. As the group could sense Cain's anger they didn't dare to question him any more and left the bar.

However, just before leaving Jude had given Shay one last glance to which she reacted by giving him a wink.

They sat in the car quietly whilst Cain closed his eyes and thought about Ezra. After the argument in the carpark Cain was left stunned after feeling that he had just been rejected.

He felt regretful for saying hurtful words about his break up, but he felt like Ezra needed to move on. It had been a few months ago apparently since they broke up yet he's still attached, he's even worse than girls when it comes to moving on.

But those few seconds of being close to his face and gazing into his eyes, he felt like he was being sucked into them, they were like molten pools of gold. His brows, his lips, his nose everything about Ezra just seemed to take his breath away. He had a cold personality, clearly he was sensitive and hated being challenged.

Yet, Cain felt like he couldn't help but be drawn to him, he was nothing compared to anyone he had ever met or dated before. He wasn't into guys, heck he believed no man could ever be worth his time but Ezra had no clue about how much he was affecting Cain.

Cain snapped out of his thoughts when the car pulled up to the pack house and they all noticed a small crowd gathered in the centre building. The group quickly got out and made their way towards the building. When the crowd saw Cain they all shuffled out of the way to let him through. As he entered he saw Hector, one his father's soldiers standing tall near doorway.

"What's happening?" Cain asked, trying to see what was going on inside the room.

"We captured some rogues on the outskirts of the forest, who seem to know some information about the god. The Alpha is questioning them right now."

"Can you let me through?"

Hector bowed his head as he let Cain and Jude inside whereas Sienna and Benno were stuck outside. As they entered they met with Marcus and Vance, his father's beta and Jude's father. Kneeling on the ground was a man and woman looking at Cain cautiously.

"Cain, you're just in time. We're questioning some rogues." Vance said as he smiled at the boys. Cain made his way next to his father, while not looking away from the rogues. Marcus patted Cain's shoulder.
