Cain

News spread the next day at school about Ezra knocking Cain out cold during their soccer match. The whole school was buzzing and theorising what had happened. Rumours spread that Cain and Ezra engaged in a fistfight about a girl, others guessed that it was about the vice captain position. Either way, people talked about how the chilled bad boy actually got angry for once and knocked some one out.

On the day Ezra had to write an apology letter and got a lecture from the coach about the result of having anger issues, which Ezra didn't actually have. Usually coach had a soft spot for Ezra and actually encouraged him to show aggression but after being introduced to Cain he didn't want a star player to get injured before championships.

Cain was being hospitalised under the care of his pack. And since he was a strong alpha he managed to recovery quickly. With only a small bruise on the side of his stomach and a bandage wrapped around his right leg. 

Marcus and Vance laughed about it whilst everyone in the pack became more hostile, ensuring to keep the alpha safe. Sienna and Benno wanted get their revenge on Ezra but Cain wouldn't let them.

Cain couldn't bring himself to feel anger towards Ezra since it was an accident and it was his fault for triggering Ezra. 

But he couldn't help but wonder about the details of the accident. He noticed that Ezra's eyes changed colours but he could have just imagined it. When they collided Cain's body flew backwards. It felt as though he was hit directly by an oncoming bus.

His breathing and heart stopped for a brief second, while shock overwhelmed him and adrenalin hit him. His chest was in pain and his right leg became paralysed for a short moment. His mind was in a haze as his vision blurred. Ezra laid beside him, feeling a sharp pain from his ankle but chose to ignored it. He was more concerned about Cain's injuries.

Ezra's face appeared in Cain's vision with a worried expression. Ezra placed his hands over Cain's chest and tried his best to transfer his life energy to heal Cain. It worked in the beginning with Cain feeling a warm sensation that stopped his throbbing pain, but Jude tore Ezra away.

The coach argued to take Cain to the hospital but Benno and Jude ensured that Cain needed to return home, where a private doctor would tend to Cain. The team glanced back at Ezra who felt truly guilty and Chase patted him on the back to reassure him. Tyler on the other hand shook his head and Ezra looked down at his feet.

At school, Cain was already back on his feet and completely unfazed about the situation. During lunch time the players were surprised to see him so soon.

"Shouldn't you be at the hospital?" Chase worried.

"I'm not that weak it was only a small injury. Where's Ezra? To scared to show his face?" Cain asked.

"Not sure to be honest. Do you know Tyler?"

All eyes were on Tyler.

"He's not coming today." He responded hesitantly. 

"Is he that upset? Tell him that I'm perfectly fine." Cain said.

"No...it's just family reasons."

Ezra

"Again."

Ezra ran at high speed towards Damon, who stood in a fighting stance. Ezra aimed to attack Damon's shoulder but he countered by throwing Ezra over his shoulders and pinning him onto the ground. Ezra groaned.

"Again."

Damon got off, leaving Ezra short of breath. After the whole situation at school, Damon was happy to have witnessed it himself but took responsibility rather than Laura who was busy working.
