Cain

It wasn't long for Marcus and Vance to appear at the scene. In his mighty wolf form Marcus instructed soldiers to chase after Odis while following his scent. Cain and his pack were instructed to go back to the pack house and they did as they were instructed, except for Cain.

He went straight to the house party to search for Ezra. The house was empty but the front lawn was still filled with a few remaining students and police officers tending to students and others scanning the house and area.

Cain frantically looked around when suddenly a hand on his shoulder brought his attention away. A woman who looked in her late 30s, with dark blonde hair in a pony tail and a well ironed uniform stared down at Cain.

"Kid, did you not follow what the officer said? Party's over, go home."

Cain glared at the officer, now was not the time for him to be lectured about some stupid party. He turned away and attempted to head inside the house but once again the officer stopped him.

"Oy! Did you not listen to a word I just said!"

"I'm looking for someone!" Cain yelled back.

"Well they probably went home like we told them to!"

"They might still be here."

"There's no one here, kid!"

"Laura!"

Both Cain and Laura turned to Harry who looked in a worried state. Harry forgot that Cain was there as he grabbed onto Laura's arm while Cain took this opportunity to escape. However, when Harry whispered loudly.

"Where's Ezra? Is he safe!?"

Cain stopped dead in his tracks.

"You know Ezra?" Cain stared at the two. 

Laura looked at Cain suspiciously. "Yea, I do. He's my son."

Cain was shocked. He looked at the woman more carefully and wondered how he had forgotten that Ezra had parents. He looked at Harry and Laura from head to toe and felt that none of them shared any resemblance to the boy he adored.

"What are you staring at? You punk." Laura glared.

"No...it's just even though you two are his parents, you look nothing like him."

"Huh!?" Laura pushed Harry's arm off of her and shouted angrily. "Do we look like we're married?! Who said he was Ezra's dad? You got a problem with Ezra being my son?"

"Okay, Okay. Let's calm down Laura."

"Shut up, you useless mayor!"

Cain blankly watched Laura continue insulting Harry while Harry simply tried to calm her down. But he remembered why he was there in the first place.

"Where is Ezra?" Cain shouted causing Laura and Harry's dispute to end.

"He's safe at home which is where you should be too."

It didn't take long for Cain to turn heels go in the direction of the forest, once again Laura was about to stop him when Harry intervened.

"Don't bother. That's Cain, Marcus Roman's kid."

Cain and the rest of the pack waited restlessly for Marcus to return. A meeting was called with Cain, Jude and other strong pack members into the meeting room. It was silent as no one said a single word, but the sudden sound of the door opening brought everyones attention.
