Ezra
Wolves stacked on each other as they wrestled Damon further into the ground. Shay had suffered a significant injury on her leg, causing her to lose the momentum to fight back. She attempted to support Damon by clawing at the enemies but was stopped by another wave of rogues.
After taking one down Shay limped behind Mary who then placed a hex in front of her. There was a spray of green smoke coming from a talisman which made the rogues go temporarily blind. Tyler froze their feet onto the ground while Shay transformed back into her human form and grabbed their supply of guns.
She held it up to her face and aimed the bullets right for the head of the blind wolves. Mary used a magic circle to form a thick fog around the area to hide. After killing four wolves Shay kneeled down to quickly catch her breath.
"Fuck." Tyler gasped. Even though the rogues were dying slowly in front of their own pack members not a single enemy seemed to react or back down. Every rogue that they fought were not normal in any way. They were faster, smarter and stronger than what they faced before. The battle just started but the group were already starting to lose faith in themselves.
"Now's not the time to be resting, children." Mary shouted as she passed them a small piece of paper. It glowed neon blue before burning up and disappearing in their hand. Although the gash on Shay's leg was still there, the pain had lightened and she quickly went back onto her feet. Tyler's confidence returned and the two of them ran to help Damon.
Lincoln kept his position in front of Cynthia, tackling at any wolves that tried to get to her. The fairies tried their hardest at keeping the rogues tangled within the branches but a few of them managed to escape. Cynthia began tearing up as she watched her husband suffer in front of her.
She called a larger swarm of fairies to use all their energy that they had left for an all out attack. The swarm huddled over a small sapling from the earth. The sound of rumbling got louder and from the ground, the sprout had grown to an abnormally large tree. The roots were so thick that it forced the ground to crack as it continued to rise. The floor became uneven as the rogues struggled in keeping themselves balanced.
The tree towered over the field, creating an overbearing shadow. Everyone took a moment to watch the tree reach its peak and go quiet for a moment. There was a crackle above from spiked branches growing out of the side of it.
Once again it took another second to stay still before the tree moved again, the tree behaved as if it was human. The top leaned dangerously close to the ground while slamming its spiked branches to the ground. There was a ripple effect on the earth when the tree punched the ground, the land cracked and caused an earthquake that could be felt miles away.
The ground underneath Odis shook for a second.
He glanced back and wondered curiously at the events that was taking place back at the field. His attention was brought back to Ezra when the young wolf shot ice particles in his direction. Odis dodged and shuffled sidewards. Ezra was annoyed at the fact that he could tell that Odis was enjoying the fight.
Ezra glanced at the tornado above which then moved onto him. Ezra stood in the middle of the tornado completely unfazed while using his energy to expand its size. The wolves that got caught in the wind were forced off the ground and into the sky. They fell back onto the ground a minute later while breaking a few bones.
Without detection, Odis appeared alongside Ezra. The boy had to take a second to realise what had happened. The king somehow managed to run through the tornado winds circling Ezra with no injury and joined him in the middle. Odis jumped towards him but he ducked and quickly forced the tornado to close on itself.
