Maddie found a small rock formation she could lay down her stuff in. She laid out the make-shift bed Eric had made for her and turned to look outside. The figure was there!

"Your friend dead?"

"What"

"Sorry, my name is Frodjilk."

"Why would you ask if he died if you killed him?"

"Oh, no I didn't kill him my brother Deopijk must have"

Maddie held the fishing line in her hand behind her back. The figure started to turn around-"Where is your brother?" asked Maddie. The figure pointed at a far away farm. "Thanks I guess," said Maddie but the figure was already gone.

The next day Maddie went to the farm. When she got there, there was nobody there. She went inside and found Deopijk sitting on a bail of hay. Maddie had made a small wooden sword on her way to the farm and had it in her hand. "Get up!" screamed Maddie at the figure. Deopijk got up and pulled out a long golden dagger. But it wasn't any dagger it was Eric's dagger.

Deopijk slashed Maddie across the face with the dagger. She fell to the ground and crawled under a hay stack. "Where are you?" asked Deopijk laughing. Maddie found Eric's other dagger under the hay. It wasn't gold but it was the right size. When she picked it up it shaped to her hand. Maddie jumped out of the hay and stabbed the figure. The figure's coat came off revealing a four armed monster with red eyes and twelve legs and feet.

Maddie could see that the monster had been attacked multiple times within the last week. She could see where she nicked him three days ago. He threw the gold dagger at her while cursing. Maddie grabbed the gold dagger and as well as the other one, shaped to her hand. The monster was unarmed and held its hands up. "I lose, no please stop!" cired the monster. "No," answer Maddie angrily. She put the gold blade on top of the silver on and slashed right through the monster's neck. The monster's head came clean off and his body fell limp on the ground.

Maddie went back to the rock formation and laid on the bed and started to cry. But before she fell asleep she heard footsteps outside. A man holding a small coin purse came into the formation.

"Hello," said the man.

"What are you here for."

"The monster you killed had a bounty, and I came to give you this."

The man gave Maddie the coin purse. She laid the coins out on the bed. It was at least thirty five thousand dollars. The man had already left when she turned to thank him. Matt was still in the bag with his head poking out staring at the huge gash cutting through Maddie's face. "What's going on?" asked Maddie looking at Matt's face. Matt dug into the bag and pulled out a piece of glass. Maddie looked at the gash and jumped. How did this happen, Maddie thought remembering the fight.

In the fight Maddie had been cut but it wasn't that bad. The gash on her face had green ooze coming from it. The golden blade had had poison on it. Maddie started to over react. She started to scratch her face and was splashing swamp water on the gash. The gash only itched because it was a cut and cuts itch. The poison was already gone because of the heat of the swamp. Pure poison will evaporate, but Maddie didn't know that.

When Maddie was panicking Frodjilk covered her mouth. "Breath," demanded Frodjilk "The poison evaporated in the heat." Maddie stopped, pushed his hand off her mouth, and sat down. "Do you look like him?" Maddie asked. Frodjilk took of his coat to reveal that he was in fact a human. He was actually quite handsome but Maddie didn't care.

"So you are a human, how is that possible?" asked Maddie

"Poison Genetic mutation, or poison cut out his real eyes and gave him more limbs."
