Eric was cooking some pig that he had found under a tree. A wolf had killed it, but didn't eat it. Eric had buried Banana under the fire. Eric had shed a tear over Banana, but only a few. He had given the axe to Maddie to use as a weapon and they continued find firewood.

While Eric and Maddie were collecting firewood a conversation came up.

"Can we build a house?," asked Maddie.

"With the extra wood, maybe," said Eric.

"But why not right now next to the lake?"

"We need to start a fire first."

"Please!"

Eric just continued to cut wood. He had a small pile of long enough logs to make a house, but he cut them up and put the wood chips in his bag. Eric sat on the side of the river with his feet in while Maddie was playing with Matt. Eric sat with his feet in the water then jumped in. He went to the bottom and sat there. He stayed under for five minutes but had to come up for air when Matt came down.

"How did you stay under?," asked Matt.

"Spell," replied Eric.

"A what?"

"A spell, it gives me abilities."

Matt just shrugged with his little arms, and walked back over to Maddie. Eric stood on a rock in the center of the little pond. He looked down into the water and saw a bunch of little fish trying to jump out. He dropped one of his daggers down into the lake and stabbed through five fish. He jumped in and picked them all up. When he got out he gave all the fish to Matt.

Maddie walked over to Eric and tried to talk to him. Eric just ignored her and continued to catch fish. All of a sudden a snap came from behind a tree. Maddie walked over, and saw an arrow through one of the trees. She looked around then saw an arrow flying toward her. Maddie slid out of the way and ran to go get Eric. He was already in his cloak and had both daggers in his hands. Maddie picked up her axe and looked at Eric.

Eric ran through the woods toward the sound, and through a dagger at a small muzzle flash of a pistol. A wave of blood came flying at Eric. Maddie finally caught up and ran past Eric. She could see the attackers. They had a patch on their jackets meaning bounty hunters. Maddie kept stalling Eric by running in front of him. It was too late, Eric had made it to where the bow man was. He picked up the bow and the quiver, than repeatedly shot toward the muzzle flash.

Maddie was blocking all of the arrows that Eric shot with her axe. But right before Eric gave up a loud crack came from behind a tree. Blood flew out of Eric's shoulder, and he fell to the ground. Maddie smiled then went back to the camp leaving Eric.

Suddenly a bright glow came from a necklace Eric was wearing. His body levitated off the ground and hung there. His feet touched the ground and stood there slumped over. He held the bow in his hand, and as if he was possessed, slowly drew the arrow back. The arrow flew out of the bow and into the last bounty hunter. Eric's left eye turned red, and he slowly disappeared. There was something odd though, when Eric was disappearing his skin went away, then his muscle, then his bone.

Maddie grabbed her bag while running and pasted the camp. Matt jumped into the bag. "Is Eric ok?," asked Matt looking back. Maddie kept running and murmured something about her being wanted. Matt dug his claws into Maddie's back making her trip. "STOP!," screamed Matt. Maddie fell into a puddle and sat up. Maddie pulled out a gun she found off a dead bounty hunter. She shot Matt in the back leg. Matt stopped moving and lay on the ground. He blinked then limped over to Maddie.

"You're a terrible person," cried Matt with his last breath.

"I know, runt," replied Maddie kicking Matt.

Matt died as soon as a molotov cocktail landed on him. He burst into flames disintegrating in the fire. Maddie laughed a little then continued to run into the forest. While Maddie was running she kept hearing voices. At one point she felt light headed and fainted. When she woke up she was surrounded by bounty hunters. She sat up and cursed under her breath.
