The First One

D - Present

D's eyes turned red, and her claws stuck out of her wrist. Her mouth was full of blood as she ripped apart the giant's hand. D had used her power to jump through the giant and rip off his left hand. D collapses to the ground though a minute after.

As soon as D wakes up she is surrounded by survivors. There were four boys and two girls looking down at D. Her eyes were still red but her claws had gone back into her skin. "Get up, freak!," said one of the boys, he was wearing glasses, a polo shirt, body armour, and jeans.

"What?," asked D to the boy.

"Get up, now!"

"Who are you?"

"Why would I tell a monster, in fact a kind of monster I have never seen before, my name because they asked, sorry I can't understand your language bitch!"

D stood up, "Who the hell do you think I am?"

"A monster nothing less!"

"Then how am I talking to you?"

"Because you're still turning, give it a couple of days and you'll turn."

"No! I've been bit over thirty times and have never changed!"

"Sure kid, how old are you anyway, seventeen, eighteen?"

"Twenty one, same as my..."

"Your what! Your stuffed animal!"

"My boyfriend!," screamed D.

"Oh, is his name James Harpy, I've had four girls say they dated him."

A claw came directly through the wall of the tent. I burst through the skin of the guy attacking D. "Evacuate!," screamed another boy who was much younger. D stopped moving to see that the monster was turning between human and monster rapidly every four seconds. The monster jumped through the front door and killed two girls at the same time. The last three boys ran for a hole in the tent made by the monster. D grabbed her pistol and shot one of the boys in the leg. "You're going no where!," she yelling shooting each of them in the leg. One of the boys screamed in pain when the monster jumped on him. The monster ripped open the kid's stomach, and grabbed the other two kids by the neck. "You'll make a great meal for King Eric," the monster whispered when it changed to human.

"James, really?," said D looking at the monster.

"Oh, yeah," the monster turned around as a human. James stood in its place.

"When you bit me I kinda got your powers, but mine are cooler."

"And how's that?"

"I don't fall asleep afterward," they both laughed.

D ran forward and hugged James, but he pushed her away.

"I never said there were no side affects, I..."

D looked at her hand. Her caw was starting to slowly form. James turned back into one of the monsters and made a whistle. Four monsters jumped through the holes in the tent. "Attack," said James walking out the front door. The monsters jumped at D. Her hands turned into claws, as she ripped apart the monsters running at her. D ran outside to see James on the back of the giant, walking into a forest. Weirdly, James threw down a piece of paper. D picked it up and read it.

D,

I am not in control of this body. The monster I can become controls what I do. I was controlling it until you hugged me. Stay Away! For now until I find a way to get him out of my head.

D folded the piece of paper into an airplane and wrote on the side with some crushed rock, love you, and threw the airplane to James.
