The First One

Eric - Present

Maddie was knocked out and woke up in a jail. She turned around and saw Eric. He stood there with purple fire coming out of his eyes. "Eric," said Maddie scared. Eric's body fell to the flood with the purple fire forming the shape of a human. Eric's old body went away and the purple fire formed normal Eric. "Maddie, you did something really wrong," said Eric looking down at the blood on her hands. He turned back into the purple fire and flew around Maddie. He formed back as Matt. "Why would you kill me?," said Eric in Matt's form and voice. "Did you think I was a human?," asked Eric sarcastically while the chip from his head fell out. He changed out of Matt's form when this happened. Maddie stood there confused, "You are." Eric just opened the cell with a key he had and threw it at Maddie. "Come out when you find a real life, Bloom,"

At this time Eric knew what a Bloom was. It wasn't just Maddie's last name it was a creature. They are always being chased by bounty hunters because they can shape shift. Eric was able to do this because his Dad was a Bloom, and he injected Maddie's blood into himself. Eric was able to tell that Maddie hadn't learned how to yet. But she was full blown Bloom. Eric walked out of the prison handing the real key to the warden.

Eric walked outside and had a blast of light into his eyes. He stood there and looked around in the real world at the city of Atlanta.

"Kid what are you doing out here alone, where's your mommy," said a buff teenager from across the parking lot.

"I live alone," replied Eric

"How old are you twelve, thirteen."

"Why should I tell you."

Eric went back into dream world and saw the warden standing. Thanking him for turning in Maddie. Eric went back to the real world and saw that the man was running at him. Eric pulled out a switch knife and stabbed the man in the leg. The man shot at Eric, but He was able to turn into purple gas before he was shot. Eric was able to change to a Bloom in the real world. The man looked around amazed. " What are you?," asked the man. He threw his pocket knife at Eric, but he deflected it with his switch knife. The pocket knife flew off the bridge on 11th street.

The man ran away as Eric went back into the prison. He went to Maddie's cell. She was sitting on the flooring trying every keyhole in the cell. "Having trouble," said Eric. Maddie looked up.

"Bounty hunter," said Maddie angrily.

"I'm not-"

"Shut up."

"The man outside?"

"Yes!"

"Probably."

"Can I come out now."

"Likely."

Eric turned and heard a click from behind him. He smiled then continued to walk through the prisons hall. When eric walked outside he went back into the real world. He started his long walk home.

When Eric got home he saw his real sister. He nodded at her while she handed him a salad. He went into his room and started to eat. He sat on his bed and turned on the TV. The news came on. The prison out west of Atlanta had twelve new prisoners in the last hour! It was crazy to Eric. Eric ran out of his room and to his sister.

"I need the car!"

"You're too young."

Eric grabbed the keys and ran out the door. His sister tried to grabbed him, but he slid out of the way. Eric jumped into the car, put the keys in the commision and drove west. When he got to the hospital it was empty. All Eric saw in both worlds was Maddie's footprint.
