The First One

James - Present

Ok thought James pacing back and forth through the kitchen of the house. James grabbed a cup and poured some water into it. James chugged the water and walked into the bedroom. D was awake, but barely.

"You good," asked James unwrapping the bandage.

"Yeah."

"You're sure, you're hurt pretty bad."

"Wait, can you hear that."

"Hear what?"

"It's, oh no, The Reset!"

A girl's voice could be heard at the door. A crash came from next to D and James. A Tv appeared out of nowhere and shattered on the ground. A girl walked through the front door, "James, who's my favorite nephew?!" James paused and D yelled. James looked at D and saw she was disappearing.

"Where are you going?," asked James grabbing D's hand.

"Jail, go to the tower your parents met at."

D finished disappearing and James ran out the door. "I need to stop the reset," thought James as he was running. James ran through the neighborhood and back towards the castle. James ran into the castle and opened another portal, "Mojink Eink Noc," James jumped into the portal and was teleported back to the giant heart. James reached into his pocket and pulled out a piece of gum. He chewed it for a second then started to turn into a monster.

After James turned into a monster he jumped up to the top of the heart. James cut a hole in the heart and spit his gum into the hole. The heart pumped but got clogged because of the gum. James fell from the heart down to where the portal was opened. D flew through the portal and landed on James. D got up and grabbed James's hand, "The reset can be turned off over here." D ran into a small opening in the walls of the cavern. Hundreds of piles of bones and bodies were all around James. James turned back into a human and grabbed D's shirt. "Stop!," James continued, "I won't let you follow me through this. You could die or worse be permanently stuck in your monster body. I don't want either of us having to go through what my parents and what you went through as a child, so just don't follow me, I know what I'm doing." D started to cry. Tears ran down her face as she let go of James's hand. "Shut up!," screamed D at James. James hugged her and layed her on the ground. Three monsters grabbed James and pulled him away from D. "No! Why, come back James." D passed out from her leg wound and was carried away by two tall figures.

James was gone and was now in the control room of the reset. Two figures held D and were blocking the controls to the reset. "Your first challenge, defeat a giant." James stood and watched as a portal opened. James stepped through the portal and it closed behind him. James walked into a giant coliseum of people cheering and other people holding chains to keep the giant from attacking the spectators. James turned into a monster and reached into his back pocket. He pulled out a ring that was made of gold and was inscribed with, D and James, Mr. And Mrs. Harpy. James put the ring on one of his claws and chanted, "Harpy Mojolik Retarco." Three bodies rose from the sand in the stadium, one was Rari, one was Eric, and the last was Drew.

James gave each of them their best weapons and they walked together towards the giant. The spectators let go of the chains as the Giant reached around and grabbed a hot dog stand. Three people went flying into the air as James jumped onto the Giant's face. James jabbed his claw into the Giant's eyes blinding it. He jumped around to the back of the giant and pulled off the controller used to control unstable Giants and monsters. Drew ran forward and cut the Giant's feet with a battle axe that was on fire. The fire burst into a straight line and shot the giant into the air.

Rari picked up her sword and followed James. The giant started to fall to the ground as it screamed. The giant hit the ground and Rari stabbed the giant three times in the neck. The giant shook violently, and suddenly it stopped. A beam of light appeared and the three clones disappeared. James walked into the light and was teleported into the room D was in.

D was chained behind a door that James couldn't open. The two figures stood there trying to put prison clothes on her. D's bag was outside the door and James picked it up. James opened the bag. He pulled out a protein bar and started to eat it. "Help!," screamed D as the figures tried to pull of her clothes. James jumped up. James turned into a monster and smashed down the door. "Shit! D what are they doing," asked James. The two figures were in the corners of the room holding knifes.

"Let her go," said James walking towards the figure on the right.

"Not until you win the three challenges," said the figures together.

"You're a monster."

"J-J-James," said D shaking the chains.

"Don't worry D."

"We will let her go if you can tell who we are by name."

"Mom," James paused, "Dad?"

The figures walked forward, "Yes," Eric and Maddie stood there both missing half their body to the monster disease.

"What do I do?"

"Shoot her," said Eric handing James a rifle.

James changed into a human, "What!"

"Shoot her now!"

"James don't do it," D was struggling.

"Danny, I won't, gimme the gun dad."

Eric handed the gun to James, "No! James you're a liar!"

James held the gun up into the air and pointed it at D. James closed his eyes and put both his knees on the ground. "I'm-I'm sorry," James pulled the trigger twice. Weirdly two bodies fell to the ground. "God, I hate imposters." James stood with his eyes closed. Blood filled the room and went up to James's waist. James stood up and turned as he opened his eyes. James walked over to D's body. James closed D's eyes and picked her up.1

"I never said you could leave!," said Maddie.

"Mom where's dad."

"Dead, with D now."

"I hate you!," James screamed and jumped up. The two daggers used by Eric were summoned into James's hand. James swung the daggers at Maddie. Suddenly, Everything went black. James woke up, being shaken by something around him.
