Eric was looking around the cave for some supplies he could use. He saw a small statue in the corner of the room. Eric went back and forth from dream world to real world and nothing changed. The statue was still there no matter what world he was in. Eric picked up the statue and there was a little note under it.

Dear Family,

Today I am going to kill myself. I don't know how or when, but I will. I met this

guy named Eric. I don't know how old he is or where he came from. All I remember was him being in the cell with me for a while. I really like him, but I killed him. It was accident, but he is still dead. I thought he had saved me once but it was just a dream that I had. I realized that dreams are something to look forward to.

Bye World,

Maddie

Eric put down the the note and stuffed it in his bag. There was also a little plastic bag with the statue. It had Eric's daggers in it! Eric took both daggers and sheathed them in his pockets. The daggers glowed in the light of the sun coming into the cave. All of a sudden a roar came from behind Eric.

Eric turned saw nothing but got launched back. He hit the wall and heard a crack. He couldn't move or see he had been knocked senseless. Another roar came from in front of Eric, and a huge claw appeared on his chest. The claw dug into Eric's shirt and through his skin. Blood rushed down his shirt and onto the floor. Eric unsheathed the silver dagger and stabbed all around him.

The cave had gone dark. Nothing was visible, whatever was attacking Eric was blocking the sun. Eric kept stabbing around until he hit something. I was squishy and it growled in pain. A huge ball of fur hit Eric in the face and everything stopped. No noise but the sun wasn't visible. The creature was still there, but wasn't moving. Eric changed into the real world and saw a bear lying on the cave floor.

When Eric was in the dream world everything was dark. Eric tried to get up to move the creature, but he couldn't move because of his injuries. Eric felt his stomach and tried to look at his hand. It was too dark but he could see blood dripping from his hand.

Banana waddled over to Eric, grabbed his hand and tried to fly up. Eric gained a little air and could see the sun. Banana flew Eric to the front of the cave and went back in. Banana came back out with Eric's bag and his silver dagger. Eric put the bag around his back and started to walk through the snow.

The snow at some points, was so deep that Banana had to fly over. Eric had to plow his way through by jumping over invisible holes in the snow. Over time the snow started to come down again then disappear, then come back. Eric had to keep sliding his coat back on because the bear had ripped the zipper of and there was a lot of wind.

After walking for an hour Eric had a huge cramp in his stomach. He lifted up his shirt and saw that all his skin was ripped off and he could see bone. It wasn't bleeding anymore but it was really infected. Eric grabbed some snow and picked out all the grass. He pressed the snow against his chest. It felt so much better, Eric had learned from school, before his parents died, that snow can heal and infection. Or it can just boost healing.

Eric's wound didn't feel better after a while of rest. It still was deep into his stomach and he could still see bone. Banana even was able to fit it the hole but he didn't because it would cause more infection. Eric was lying in the snow and looking up at the stars. He saw a flash of light, and put his shirt down over the wound. Within seconds Eric had fallen asleep.
