-Candace Miller's Point of View-

"I'm sorry Ms. Jackson. Oooh, I am for real. Never meant to make your daughter cry, I apologize a trillion times." I hummed along to Ms. Jackson by Outkast as I showered. Yeah, I realized it was three in the morning, but I couldn't sleep.

Niall had... what was that moment back there?! What with the ring and the fighting and... it was all too much. My emotions were on overdrive and I could just barely think straight. The soothing scrubs of my wash cloth helped clear up my mind a bit.

The bathroom door creaked, causing me to think of every cliche horror movie scene I had ever watched.

"Hello?" I asked tentatively, my hands pausing in my hair. Oh God, this was just too similar to the movies. Besides, who else would be up at three in the morning?

"Hey, Candace, can we talk?" Harry?

"Um, sure, I mean it's not as if I'm busy or anything." I said sarcastically.

"Great," Haz said. I heard the muffled sound of him sitting down, making himself comfortable. I rolled my eyes.

"What's up?" I said, rubbing my arms with soap.

"I've been just really... stressed, lately." That makes two of us... "And you're lovely with advice and these types of things."

I was? "Uh... sure? Um. Well... when I'm stressed, I sing. It makes me feel better." I winced as a scab snagged on the rag and was rubbed off, revealing another scar.

"Will you sing with me?"

That caught me off guard. "Of course. What song?"

"Well, I was thinking about something by Florence and The Machine?"

"Which song? I love her."

"Cosmic Love? Dog Days Are Over?" I scrubbed away the rest of the scabs.

"Dog Days Are Over." I decided. Harry paused, clearing his throat.

"Happiness, it hurt like a train on a track

Coming towards her, stuck still no turning back

She hid around corners and she hid under beds

She killed it with kisses and from it she fled

With every bubble she sank with a drink

And washed it away down the kitchen sink.

"The dog days are over

The dog days are done

The horses are coming

So you better run." Then it was my turn.

"Run fast for your mother and fast for your father

Run for your children for your sisters and brothers

Leave all your love and your longing behind you

Can't carry it with you if you want to survive."

Then together we sang: "The dog days are over

The dog days are done

Can you hear the horses

'Cause here they come."

"And I never wanted anything from you

Except everything you had

And what was left after that too. oh.

"Happiness hit her like a bullet in the back

Struck from a great height

By someone who should know better than that." I sang my little solo and we sang the chorous together again.

"The dog days are over

The dog days are gone

Can you hear the horses

'Cause here they come."

"Run fast for your mother and fast for your father

Run for your children for your sisters and brothers

Leave all your love and your longing behind you

Can't carry it with you if you want to survive." Sang Harry. The other boys were long forgotten as I turned off the water and wrapped my hair in a fluffy white towel, also putting a robe around my body.

"The dog days are over

The dog days are gone

Can you hear the horses

'Cause here they come." I sang.

"The dog days are over

The dog days are gone

The horses are coming

So you better run." Harry sang before we finished up together.

"The dog days are over

The dog days are gone

The horses are coming

So you better run."

I was just a normal girl for once. Well, if normal consists of singing in the bathroom with one of your friends in nothing but a robe, then yes. I was very normal at the moment.

"Goodmorning, booberdoo!" Louis sang happliy, draping himself over me on the couch.

"Morning, boo bear. Why are you so happy?" I asked, running a hand through his tossled hair.

"I know a secret."

"Ooh, tell me, tell me, tell me." I was curious now.

"I cannot tell you. BUT, if you guess hints, I'll tell you if you yes or no."

Hmm.... "Does it involve someone in this house?"

"Yes."

"Does it involve... a boy in this house?"

"Yes."

"Is that boy Niall?"

Louis paused, then mumbled something I didn't understand.

"What?" I asked.

"...yes..."

"Does it involve just Niall?"

"No."

"Does it also involve-"

"Okay, I'm stopping you there! No more."

"But Looouiisss..." I whined, cupping my hands over his forehead. He tilted his head back to look me in the eyes, digging his head futher into my chest.

"Sorry, booberdoo."

I sighed in defeat and dropped it. If Lou didn't want to tell me then maybe I didn't want to know. But... If it was a secret about Niall, didn't I want to know? And what could that secret possibly be?
