"Are you sure this is going to work?" Chelsea asks her now seventeen-year-old daughter, Mila.
Mila is restraining herself from rolling her eyes at her mom's question. She has been asking about that for the last 24, hours, so basically after she told her, her plan. It's not like she's not nervous herself, but she trusts Ryan.
After finally confessing her bad decisions in her past to her boyfriend Ryan, he came up with an excellent idea on how to get rid of Peter once and for all.
Peter has turned into a first class stalker ever since Mila broke up with him almost 2, years ago. At first, it was only the occasional "Get back to me" crap. Though, when she got a new boyfriend 6, months after their break up, it was like something clicked inside of him. He became more intimidating and often threatened both Mila's and her former boyfriends' lives.
He ones lived up to those threats.
Of course, they could have gone to the police but what use would that have when the psychopaths' dad is the chief of the police department.
So Peter could get away with everything back in Florida, because of his daddy.
"I hope," Mila answers simply. "now stop worrying, this can maybe end all of our troubles."
Robert stands beside his wife and after nearly 20, years of marriage, he knows, she's about to break this whole idea into pieces. If he's honest with himself, he wants this thing to go away, so he can start working on his shattering marriage. Therefore he quickly takes over the conversation, "Go. And please make it back in one piece."
Mila nods her head and makes her way out of the door.
As she walks out of the door, Chelsea turns to her husband, "What if something happens to her?" She deadpans narrowing her eyes, although they are, filled with sadness.
Robert takes a deep breath while saying a silent prayer for his daughter.

Mila walks along the road, already regretting wearing her long sleeved shirt. When they moved from Florida after that dreadful night one year ago, they decided to move to California which is as hot in the summer as the previous state.
She almost walked past the little coffee shop, but unfortunately, she didn't so there is no turning back now.
He is the first person she notices. No women in her right mind wouldn't instantly be attracted to him. Mila can't even deny, after everything he put her through, that he isn't, absolutely breathtaking. His brown hair is away from his forehead. She knows it is one of his bad habits. He has always racked his hands through it when he is, determined of something. His blue eyes pierce through anyone who as much as glances his way.
He has always hated other people.
Mila lifts her shaky hand up to the handle and hears the little bell ringing above her head, as she enters.
A few heads turn, but nobody cares. All, except a particular brown haired guy with piercing blue eyes.
Peter's mouth does a little twist on the left side, it almost looked like he was about to smile but Mila knows better.
He never smiles.
She slowly makes her way over to him. Of course, he has chosen the table in the back.
Far from anyone's prying ears.
Mila quickly sits down on the other side of the table, as she doesn't like the way his eyes go up and down her body.
As she now has gotten close to him, she can see he has a day old stubble on his chin. She groans inwardly - how can he get to be so gorgeous when his personality is full of shit?
She shifts uncomfortably in her seat. She hasn't seen him after, that night. And if it stood to her, it would have stayed that way. However, after he started texting her, and eventually found her here, she came up with the conclusion, that it was about time to destroy the past.
Mila takes a shaky breath. I hope this will end it all.
"Hey." She is the first one to speak a word. Peter is probably daydreaming about things that will never happen, and that's why he hadn't uttered a word yet.
"How have you been?" He then asks, "Still in touch with the pretty boy?"
Mila hasn't talked with Jace after her family ran away in the middle of the night almost 2, years ago.
"No."
Peter seems pleased with her answer as he casually leans back in the chair. He swings his arm up to the chair beside him, making sure that he shows off his muscular arms. "Damn, who would have guessed; the girlfriend stealing scumbag was telling the truth."
She shudders at his words. Who knows what Peter has done to Jace to get him to tell him where she was?
"He didn't steal me." Mila didn't think. The second those words left her mouth she was screwed.
Peter drops his cool domain and slams his fist on the table.
A few glances turn their way, though when seeing Peter's fury they look away like nothing happened.
"Why did you call me, Mila?" He says slowly. He has always talked to her like that; like she's a little child not able to understand a simple sentence.
After a few moments of just looking each other in the eyes, Mila could for the first time feel some confidence in her body.
"I just wanted to look you in the eyes, before the cops take you away." She finally says with a smug smile.
Peter raises himself from his chair as does Mila. Pure fury is burning behind his gaze, and Mila knows that now it's time to move on to the next part of the plan.
Run.

Many, information was put into this one. I even confused myself a little, so here's a timeline to sum some of it up.
2 years and 6 months ago: Mila broke up with Peter.
2 years ago: Mila got a new boyfriend; Jace.
1 year and 8 months ago: The family moved to California.
Now: Mila got a boyfriend called Ryan.
Hope that sums it up.
But oh well, the first chapter is done. Yay! I can't wait to navigate you readers through the exciting stuff.
I would love some feedback along with maybe a vote.
Much love♥︎
