Unknown point of view
I look around at all the stunned faces.
I guess nobody figured that one out.
Several voices begin to talk;
"Why wasn't I told?"
"I didn't know what happened."
"Chelsea made me."
Oh, yeah. Chelsea. Such a shame that she had to die. Though, she was the one who kept the secret from anyone.
You got to hand it to her, she certainly knew, how to keep a secret.
She just forgot that secrets and lies always come out.
Nothing stays hidden.
Or, I do.
I try to suppress a smile. Nobody knows who I am. Okay, they know who I am, but they don't know that I am the one who is behind this.
"Why?" Mila asks her dad.
"Chelsea thought you had too much on your plate already, so she didn't want to burden you with guilt." Robert reasons.
I almost scoff; he and Chelsea are the reason why Samanda never got the justice she needed.
But, Blake and I are getting it now. And I can't wait to see the look on Mila's face when she knows it is me who is behind it all.
It is so tempting to jump forward and announce myself, as who I exactly am.
However, where would the fun be in that?
"Did you know?" Mila accuses Peter.
He doesn't answer her. Peter seems to get through his head what he has done. Now, he got two lives on his conscious.
"Peter didn't know either, Mila," Robert says, "Chelsea made sure that the police didn't find out."
"But how did you know that there was a body when Blake carried her away?" Jace questions.
Robert shakes his head, "The police found blood, and when they questioned us about it, Chelsea quickly said that it must have been a deer or something. And that it must have been hit, then fled into the forest to die." A tear slips down his cheek, probably because he now understands the situation he and his wife have brought upon them. "While you and Peter were unconscious in the hospital, we went down to the road, where it happened, when we saw the blood trail."
He looks over at Mila with sadful eyes, "We followed the trail into the forest, and that was when we saw a man digging in the ground, then dumping a body into it."
I look over at Blake, and he catches my eyes for a moment.
Without anyone noticing it I nod my head.
Blake claps his hand, and everyone stops talking.
"Okay! Enough with the chit-chat. I got a schedule to follow. Yes, I was the man in the forest, and yes that was Samanda I dug." A sad look in his eyes quickly pops in, and I glare at him. Now is not the time to show weakness. He shakes his head, and continues, "But now it is your turn. Your turn to feel the pain." He looks over at Peter and Mila, "I have already killed the one person who means the most to you, Peter, and I have already ruined your reputation in this world. So now I want to focus on you, Mila."
He walks over to her, and whispers in her ear.
But I don't need to hear the words, to know what he is saying. I am, after all, the one who practised it with him.
