Kyle is about to carry the last box out of the truck when he notices her.
Her golden hair waves slightly as a light breeze comes. She has an oversized hoodie on along with some sweatpants.
It's 10 o'clock in the morning, so she has probably just woken up.
She has her back towards, him, therefore, she hasn't noticed him starring.
Kyle has always been a shy guy, so he doesn't know what makes him walk over to her.
As he gets closer, he can't help but notice how defeated she looks, her shoulders, are slumped down. She turns around, and he can finally see her face.
Even though she has sleepy eyes, Kyle can make out her shiny forest green eyes. They are slightly puffy and red. Kyle thinks it's just because she has just woken up, but he doesn't know that Mila has spent all night crying.
"Hello?"
Kyle hadn't noticed that he was blatantly starring and he can feel his cheeks grow hot from embarrassment.
"I'm sorry." He quickly answers. "My names is Kyle, and..." Just as he was about to outstretch his hand for her to shake the box he was holding falls down to the ground.
"Oh man." Kyle mentally facepalms himself for his stupid action. "Let me try that again." He outstretches his hand once again and continues. "My name is Kyle, and I'm your new neighbour."
Mila takes his hand while offering him a smile she has been controlling. "Nice to meet you, Kyle. I'm Mila."
He nods his head in response. Not letting go of her hand.
Kyle can't help but notice, how beautiful she is. Her long hair frames her face perfectly. She has the most beautiful forest green eyes. And the light freckles there lay perfectly across her small nose.
His gaze then wanders down to her lips.
"Um, Kyle. Could you maybe let go?" Mila breaks him out of his trance when she saw where his gaze had strayed.
Even though, he is cute. And maybe a little bit hot?
Kyle has dark brown hair; It doesn't look like he styles it since it is tousled. His eyes are a dark shade of blue. He has a sharp jawline along with marked cheekbones - which by the way is a light shade of red, from the remark Mila had just made.
"I'm sorry," Kyle says once again and quickly lets go of her hand. His eyes though don't move away from her.
Mila can't help but let out a soft chuckle and shake her head. He is hot and cute, but it has only been one week since Ryan, and she broke up, and if she's completely honest with herself she wants to be single, after 2, and a half year of walking from one relationship to another.
She doesn't want to wait for him to come back from whatever land he has gone to, so she bents down to pick up the pieces there has landed out of the box he dropped.
As she bents down, Kyle gets back to reality and quickly join her down on the grass. "I'm such a klutz sometimes, and then I don't think things through before I do them." Kyle shakes his head of his stupidity, as he picks up the remaining pieces into the box.
They both stand up while Mila says, "Me too. I don't know how many times I've done things without really thinking..." She didn't know what she was saying before she said it, and her smile drops while the tears threaten to spill.
She quickly dusts herself off and plasters a fake smile on her lips. "It was nice meeting you, Kyle. And I think you will love it here. The rest of the neighbours are very friendly." And with that, she walks back inside.
