Epilogue

"The mass has ended. Let's go forth and spread the word of God." The people started to march outside the church. I stared at the altar once more. I never thought I could step inside of His house.

A sinner like me doesn't belong here.

"President." Napalingon ako sa tumawag sa akin. And I never thought I could see him here too.

"I thought you're with Tiffany." I smiled pero bigla niya akong inakbayan at agad na naglaho ang ngiti ko. Tinitigan ko ng matalim ang kamay niyang nakapatong sa balikat ko.

"Oh sorry." Sabi ni Daniel nang mahalatang di ko nagustuhan ang pag-akbay niya sa akin. "Why would I? Meron naman si Aki para sakanya." Natawa siya.

"Oh sorry. Kay Brittney ka pala." I corrected.

He smiled. "I guess I still fell for her." He said.

"Or I fell for you?" Napalingon kami at laking gulat ni Daniel nang makita si Brittney na nasa tabi na pala niya ito.

"I was wondering why we sinners are now here starring at the altar where He is." She said.

I sighed and shrugged. I heard Daniel chuckled. "You never know." He said.

"Reconciliation?" suhestyon ni Brittney na ikinatawa ni Daniel. I just chuckled.

"Where is Tiffany?" I asked.

"She's with Aki. Nasa front row." Brittney answered.

"What about Arnel?"

"He's with his flings." Biglang sagot ni Daniel.

"Let him be. Di niya nagagawa yan sa loob ng school before. Kaya siguro nagagawa niyang mambabae ngayon dahil apat na taon niyang nasayang ang pagkalalake niya." Sagot ko.

"Ang haba ng sinabi mo ah?" Daniel teased. I rolled my eyes.

I sighed once more. "It's been six years passed and it feels like it's still fresh." I said.

"Is it because of her?" Daniel asked.

I nodded. And started to walk towards the front row. Brittney and Daniel tailed after me.

"Don't worry. She's in a better place now." Sabi ni Brittney.

"Yeah." I said smiling.

"Daniel go fetch Aki and Tiffany." Sabi ni Brittney. Daniel started walking faster than me and went to Aki.

Brittney went beside me. "Where could be that better place?" She teased.

"In my heart." I answered. Then we both chuckled.

"Let's go. Any minute now magsisimula na ang binyag." Sabi ni Brittney.

"Go first." Sabi ko saka siya tumango at nagpunta na kila Aki para pumunta kung saan ang venue ng binyagan.

I sighed for the third time.

I missed her so much. I miss her smile. Her laugh. Her small kisses on my cheeks. I missed cuddling her. I missed her hugs too. Even though it's been just almost 2 hours passed. I chuckled while shaking my head when a memory of us in bed flashed back into my head. She's in my heart, and she's here too. She's late actually.

"Hey. Aren't you going?" She suddenly appeared right beside me and asked.

I smiled. She's as beautiful just like the old days.
