BEEP BEEP BEEP
You wake up to the sound of your alarm clock going off and you reach over to hit snooze for the 5th time.
(Mom) y/n!!! school starts in 30 minutes you don't want to be late on the first day!!
It's the first day of school in Hawkins Indiana and your dreading it. Ever since you escaped the lab, this town had haunted you, even after the lab shut down. You just don't get why your mom had to bring you back. Although you have to agree, it's nice to see the rest of your family again.
(Mom) y/n!! 25 minutes!!
(You) coming!
You put on one of your many long sleeve shirts, making sure your tattoo is covered and run downstairs
(Mom) here, take a bagel and eat it on the way your going to be late!!
(You) k, bye Mom love you
(Mom) bye, have a great first day!!
You run out, bagel in hand , to your bike and start the long ride to your first day of school
You get to school with 5 minutes to spare, as you're rushing in to go to your first class you collide with someone.
(You) I'm so sorry I wasn't paying attention!
(???) it's ok. Hey, are you new I didn't see you last year
(You) yah, I'm y/n by the way
(Will) I'm Will , nice to meet you y/n. Who do you have first hour that your in such a rush to get to?
(You) Mr Clarke.
(Will) Me too! I'll walk you to class to show you the way
(You) ok, let's go
You walk into class just as the bell rings and choose a seat next to Will and a girl with short hair. She looks kind of familiar but you can't figure out why. Her eyes widened when she looks at you and she immediately looks at your arm as if searching for something. You notice and she quickly looks away as you pull your sleeve even farther over your wrist.
(Mr Clarke) well it looks like we have a new student joint us on our curiosity voyage this year, and what is your name fellow traveler?
(You) y/n
(Mr Clarke) well y/n please open your syllabus and we can get class started.
You get your syllabus out and sneak a glance at the girl to your right. You wondered why she looked at you so weirdly. There wasn't anyway she could possibly know the truth.
A piece of paper put on your desk pulls you out of your thoughts.
—-on paper—-
(Will) we don't have any other classes together, sit with me at lunch?
You scribble "sure" on the papers and pass it back to Will with a smile. He looks at you and smiles back.
—-off paper—-
(Mr Clarke) Will and y/n, is plagiarism really that funny or is something else going on?
(Will) No, sorry Mr Clarke
(Mr Clarke) it's ok just pay attention from now on
The rest of your classes goes by kinda slow because you're so excited to see Will at lunch. Finally the lunch bell rings and you run to your locker. You quickly got your lunch your mom packed you and walked into the cafeteria. You scan the room looking for Will when suddenly you feel a tap on your shoulder. You turn around to find Will standing right behind you.
(Will) hey y/n, we sit over here. I'll go introduce you to the rest of the party
Will walks you over to a table with 5 other people.
(Will) everyone, this is the new girl y/n. Y/n, this is Mike, Dustin, Lucas, Max, and El
You're surprised to see the girl from class, who you now know is El, here but you don't think much of it.
(You) hi, nice to meet you all
You sit down and You guys start eating and it's just pretty normal.
(Mike) hey, I was wondering if you guys wanted to hang out at my house for a little bit tonight.
*All of the sudden the bell rings*
(Everybody) sure
(Will) y/n, can you come?
(You) sure, I'd love to
(Will) ok, meet me at the bike rack outside of school at the end of the day
(You) ok see yah
You start walking to class when you run into Mike and El.
(Mike) hey y/n, are you going to math?
Mike walks up to you with El at his side. You get a good look at him for the first time and he looks kinda cute.
(You) yah, El do you have Math too?
You realize that's kind of a stupid question since you are all walking together, but you really want to make conversation and get to know her better
(El) yes
Her response was short and almost sounded mad
(You) cool
LAME
You all walk to class together and go through the whole syllabus explanation for the 5th time
Finally the last bell rings, you all run out of class and to the bike rack.
When you get out there you find Dustin being pushed around by this boy
(Mike) TROY LEAVE DUSTIN ALONE
All of a sudden Troy lets Dustin go and falls back to the ground. You looks back and see El wipe her nose suspiciously.
Everybody rushes over to Dustin
(Will) Dustin are you ok?
(Dustin) yah I'm fine (he pauses) looks like he just tripped backwards
He says that as he looks at you and back to the group
Mike smiles over at El and she smiles back
(You) what happened that I don't know about and you all are keeping from me?
(Will) it's nothing trust me
You give him a weird look but trust him anyway
You all get on your bikes and start to drive to Mike's house
All of a sudden when you guys are riding bikes, you hit a bump and go flying off face first into some rose bushes. As you're screaming, you don't feel yourself hit anything. You open your eyes to find yourself floating in the air....
