Nixie's Point of View

One day had passed since the last time we stayed at Athena City.

We had trainings after that was more hardcore. Sometimes we don't even have break time. Although the training in Athena City was hard, we were given more difficult training here in Artemis. One time, I even woke up with a sore body. It felt so painful to move that day. As a price for our hard work during trainings, we were given a free two days every week. We can go out of the academy and visit our families.

Me? I only stayed here inside the academy because I couldn't go back to see my Mom. Every time the others go out of the academy to visit their families, I felt like I was really an outcast. I don't have a family to visit anytime or anywhere. I badly miss my Mom and also my Dad.

We were currently taking a break from the training. Luckily they gave us 30 minutes of break. I went to the dorms to pack my things because after this training they will go to their families and I will be left here again. So, I am going to pack my things so that it won't take me long tomorrow. While I'm walking on the hallway I heard some students gossiping something about me.

"I'm curious on how she got picked on recent big events. You know that she got picked on the prestigious festival week of Apollo. Gosh! I really want to ask her."

"Yeah. For all I know she just transfered here months ago. She's just a newcomer but she suddenly became the apple of the eye on the Outcasts."

"Don't worry. Everyone has their own flaws. And we got to know what's hers."

Lately many students keeps on gossiping such things about me being picked recently by the high ranks. I just ignore them because entertaining their opinions will be a big mistake and would just leave me with no choice but to retaliate. I knocked three times at the door and Elisha opened it.

"Nixie! I missed you!" she exclaimed and gave me warm hug.

I hugged her back. These past few days I learned how to be friendly to her. Only her. I don't want to be friendly to anyone because I don't want to give them my trust. Inside this academy she was the only person I consider as my friend.

"I'll start packing my things." I told her and I got the small black backpack which I brought in Apollo for the festival week.

I was picking clothes when someone knocked. Elisha opened the door and Serafina stood there.

"Nixie! Ms. Farrah was right. You will be packing your things right now. Here is the sling bag you need to bring. It's magical." she said and handed me the black backpack.

It was smaller than the black backpack Ms. Farrah gave to me last time.

"Do you know what this is?" Elisha asked.

"No." I simply said and started packing my things.

"What are you doing?" she asked and I stopped.

"Uh, packing?" I said or more like asked.

"Duh! You just need to bring that and it can give you anything." she said and ran towards me. She grabbed the sling bag from my hand.

"I want a gun." Elisha said and when she opened the sling bag there was a black gun inside.

"See?" she said and handed me back the sling bag.

"Yeah. Thanks for telling me." I said and sling the bag on my shoulders.

It was small. A cellular phone was the biggest thing I can think of fitting inside. When I opened the bag it was empty.

"I want a dagger." I said and when I opened the bag there was a dagger inside! Woah! It was amazing.

I walked my way to the battlefield and there I saw the others. They were busy doing their things. Actually, we had our own trainings. The students from Apollo are training in Apollo. The Athenians are left there and we went back to Artemis. A day from now, they will go here in Artemis because Artemis City is the only city who has access in the Lost City of Medusa. Actually Medusa City has the most powerful barrier ever made.

They made the barrier powerful so that the Gorgons who are living there cannot break free to the other worlds. The Kane clan is the only people who can open all the barriers. Actually we can take the magical bridge to the Lost City of Medusa and I think we can just walk because it is more safer than to open the barrier.

"Break time is over! We will be having a one on one. The first one who will go inside the barrier is Serafina and Tyler. Fight as long as you can. And always remember that whenever we make trainings you are free to kill. The one who will win will fight Madison. The next winner will fight Nixie and the next winner will fight Levi. Do your best, students!" Headmaster Cray said.

I gulped. What if I win against whoever I'll fight with? I can't take down Levi.

I think I should accept my fate.

I lost.

The heck! I got bruises and stuffs and worst is that became unconscious. Levi is strong. Very strong.

"Tomorrow will be the visiting of your families. We decided to let them inside the Academy and they will be the one to visit you. After that we will be having a Farewell Party for all of you. If you got back from your mission you will be having a spot on the Artemis Cup." Headmaster Cray said and he went out the room.

I don't like the sound of his 'if'. It brings chills to my spine. Thinking that surviving this mission has no assurance makes me weak. Maybe I should make the best out of my last free days here in this world. Because maybe this will be the last days I'll be standing at Artemis.

I'm lying on a clinic bed next to Serafina. Serafina got so many bruises and open wounds when she fought with me. I hit her with thousands of daggers.

Half of Madison's body was burned too when she fought Serafina. She got treated by Tyler's mother whose name is Trinity. I didn't like the view of Madison's burned body. Tyler was also the same. What do you expect from Serafina?

Levi didn't got any bruises or whatever we have. He is so damn strong that I want to strangle him to death. I like him really. But not in the romantic way. I love his Art because of the power it possesses. I really want to have an Art like his.

I have bandages on my arms and feet. It hurts, big time. I was thankful that my body surrendered when I was attacked by Levi for the third time. Surely I will not handle his power.

I hate him and I like him. Quite confusing isn't it?

Ms. Farrah said that we need to rest so that we can regain our energy for tomorrow. I don't like the sound of the farewell party. It was like they were bidding us a goodbye.
