Driving 220 km per hour, he could hardly hear the machine of his Ferrari car, he was indeed over speeding that moment.
His sinew hands which held a supernatural power were on the steering wheel, letting the right one drive while he reached for the stereo with the left hand just in time his Iphone 4S mobile phone rang.
Damn. He cursed.
It was Savannah.
He touched the answer button only to hear her say, “Where do you think you’re going?”
He frowned. Who did she think she was, a henpecking mother, no, she’s just his little sister.
“Do you have to know?” He answered sarcastically.
He heard a sigh from her.
Savannah answered him in the same manner, “Oh, I guess I don’t have to know.”
Arching his dark eyebrows he asked her, “What?”
“Brother,Detroit is a long way drive, I don’t know why you didn’t even use our private jet.” Savannah said.
Wait. How did she know it?
It seemed Savannah read his thought, which in truth she could only read the past, probably, Savannah answered him, “I saw it on the newspaper.”
Damn.
He didn’t deny it anymore, “Wait, how did you know it was her?” Oh nonsense, he thought.
He couldn’t see her but knew she rolled her eyeballs again.
“Of course you already knew why, besides, I recognized her voice I heard from your room and I searched her when I remembered a verse from one of the songs, you know I know a lot about surfing stuffs, internet etc.” Savannah bragged.
“Surfing? You know how to surf?” He foolishly asked.
“Heck, it’s surfing the internet, searching, not the one you’re thinking, oh I forgot there’s no such word during your time, my apologies old bro.”
She chuckled over the phone.
Hell.
He suddenly felt he was so ancient, he thought.
He didn’t answer but asked in a harsh way to cover up his embarrassment, “What? You said the jet?”
“Yeah, there’s one remaining.” She informed him teasingly.
Oh.
They had ten private planes so far and he knew that all of them were being used by his cousins to engage in some business in different parts of the world.
Such a luck, he thought.
“So are you going to use it?” She asked him coolly.
“Damn, you know well enough, I would.” He said mindlessly.
“Fine, you know she looked like...."
Don't even go there.
He cut her off, he already knew what she’s going to say.
“I’m going and one more reminder, don’t ever read my memories again.” He ended the call without even waiting for the answer.
He swung the car to change direction, back to their home.
Back to their house, he was welcomed with his cousins who were obviously just arrived, they greeted and invited him to have some booze, he refused them but they were so persistent, eventually he gave up while looked at his wristwatch, it was still early.
