Nightmare Quest (Book 3)

We run into the main plaza in the town square and see what looks like hundreds of armadillo looking thugs causing havoc. Star and a few other members of the village army are trying to round up the armadillo thugs, but there are too many to try and catch.
"This is the work of Anzo." I growl.

"Anzo? Who's that?" Essix asks.

"You remember when I lived in Sand Town?"

"Yeah."

"Well when I was living there a gang of armachinos caused tons of trouble and they were led by the notorious armachino Anzo." I say.

"Looks like he's back." Essix says.

"Don't worry he won't stay for long." I say while surveying the chaos. "You help everyone here, me and Briggan will track down Anzo."

Essix smiles and playfully salutes me "You got it boss." Then she darts into the chaos.

I look at Briggan and smile "Alright bro, let's show this armachino that him and his lackeys aren't welcome here."

We weave through the maze of streets until finally we come to the market place, thankfully for us this is where we see Anzo. The big armachino is directing a bunch of his minions to steal food crates.

"I thought I'd seen the last of your ugly mug Anzo, but it looks like I was wrong." I say sassily.

Anzo freezes and turns towards me. His eyes narrow as he recognizes me then he breaks into an ugly toothy grin "Well, well, well. Look what we got here hermanos. It's Azulita."

I tighten my grip on my scope sword's handle "Alright Anzo cut the formalities; you know what I'm about to ask you to do so I expect you to do it and get out of my town."

Anzo chuckles "Ooh Azula getting feisty huh boys?" His minions laugh and he continues "You know I can't do that chica, you're just going to have to take it from me."

I draw my sword "If that's what you want then it's fine with me, but you'll live to regret it Anzo."

I dart forward with my sword close to my side. Anzo yells at some of his minions to attack me, and they jump in front of him and rush to meet me with daggers of their own. I swing my sword in a large arc and I smirk as the row of Anzo's minions in front of me disintegrate into sand.

"Oh Azulita, you have just made a huge mistake." Anzo says furiously. He flexes his fingers and his claws gleam in the sunlight.

He charges toward me and slashes at my face. I duck and counter with a hard punch, which to my satisfaction connects with his face. Anzo takes a couple of steps backwards, but he recovers quickly and whips his long armored tail around. His tail hits me hard in the stomach and I fly into the wall behind me.

I sit back up and notice a strange dizzy feeling in the back of my head. I shake my head to try and clear it up, but it doesn't go away. Then I feel something creeping through my energy, something dark and foreboding. It makes its way into my mind and then everything that happens next is a blur. I rush forward and attack Anzo with surprising speed and accuracy; he gets knocked back into a wall and before I can stop myself I have him pinned o the wall with my hands around his throat.

I can see the terror on Anzo's face as he struggles to breathe and for a sickening second I enjoy it.

"Azula what are you doing?!" Briggan shouts as he runs up to me "You're killing him!"

Suddenly it's like someone flicks a switch and I'm back in control again. I quickly release Anzo and he falls to the ground gasping for air. I look at Anzo "Now get of here Anzo. I don't wanna see you around here or Sand Town ever again." Anzo struggles to his feet and runs away from us. I sway a little on my feet and Briggan quickly leans over to catch me.

"What happened to you Azula? It was like you were a completely different person." Briggan asks with concern.

"I-I'm not sure...everything is a blur..." I reply slowly.
