Nightmare Quest (Book 3)

Kitsuko871 thanks for reminding me that I had another chapter to post! This chapter is for you 😉

The pain intensifies. I can see the flesh starting to turn black around where her claws are and it's creeping up my shoulder. She raises her other arm to plunge her other claws into my shoulder, and suddenly a tendril of water wraps around her wrist and restrains her hand.

I weakly turn my head to the side and see Iris standing in a puddle of water. A small butterfly of hope flies in my chest. A pipe must have busted from the fight now Iris can use it to her advantage. Iris lifts her hands and a bunch of water tendrils rise up from the puddle and fly towards Madam Silverclaw.

Madam Silverclaw yanks her claws out of my shoulder and I grit my teeth as the wound burns and blood wells up. She takes her claws and swipes at the water tendrils wrapping around her body, but it's no use. I see Iris ball her hands into fists and then she brings both of her hands backwards like she's pulling something; the water wraps tighter around Madam Silverclaw and then it starts to pull her towards Iris.

"No, what is this?!" Madam Silverclaw says in a surprised tone.

"That's Iris sending you to your eternal prison." I say with a weak laugh. Which I immediately regret since my chest hurts from being slammed into the ground, probably broke some ribs.

I slowly sit up, and I can see the eerie black hole of a portal that must lead to the nightmare dimension. Iris finally managed to get behind the portal and is pulling Madam Silverclaw into it with the water tendrils.

Slowly but surely Madam Silverclaw gets closer and closer to the portal. She gets halfway into the it when she smiles menacingly at me. I see her flick her wrist and the whip like extensions on her arms wraps around my legs. Madam Silverclaw sees the surprise on my face and cackles "You thought I was completely done for? Ha, guess again sweetheart!"She then disappears into the portal.

I try to tear off the tendrils, but they won't come off. To make matters worse I'm being pulled into the portal too!

Essix and Briggan quickly jump towards me and grab onto my arms. I can feel myself slipping out of their grasp even though they're holding onto me for dear life.

Suddenly the pull from the tendrils around my legs gets stronger and I'm forcefully yanked from their grasp. I think it's over until Erde grabs onto me.

"Hang on Azula!" He grabs both of my hands and digs his feet into the floor. Little columns of rock shoot up from the ground and Erde puts his feet on them as a support. "I'm gonna pull you out of these things!"

I don't say anything. I just look him in the eyes.

Erde's voice takes on a concerned tone. "No! I know I what you're thinking and the answer is no!"

"Erde you have to let me go! You can't pull me out of these things, and you can't last any longer." I reply.

"Nonsense, I'm fi-"

"I can see your rock supports failing just let me go!"

"I-I can't lose you Azula..." Erde says with a voice that pierces my heart.

"I have to keep you safe Rocky." I reply with a sad smile.

"Wait Azula no!"

Without letting him do anything else I let go of his hands and I'm jerked backwards into the portal like a slingshot.

"AZULA!!"

That was the last thing I heard from the outside. Soon after that it became pitch black.

So... I'm late again I know ok? I'm so sorry!! But I'm back for now with another action packed chapter! I should be able to update more once all my college finals are done with. So wish me luck on those 😅
