Nightmare Quest (Book 3)

Darkness. There's nothing but darkness. I look around but I can't see anything, not even my hand in front of my face. Suddenly I see something glowing a bright yellow; I walk towards it and see a dark shadowy figure. I can't see the figure's face, but I can see it's white teeth flash briefly in the dark as it smiles one of those creepy serial killer smiles. Then the figure speaks and its voice chills me to the bone.

"You can run all you want Azula but it won't help you. I will find you, and when I do, you're going to have a real change of heart about me."

🌙🌙🌙🌙🌙🌙🌙

I jolt awake. I frantically look around and see that I was just dreaming. Thankfully. My nightmare replays in my head; I'm pretty sure I just dreamed about Madam Silverclaw. I shake my head and get up from where I was sleeping. I step around Star and Tiny's sleeping forms nearby, and then I step around Essix and Briggan. I stop temporarily to look at them sleeping; Briggan has his arm wrapped protectively around Essix and she is snuggled close beside him. Those two always were the cutest couple to me.

I make my way to the oasis and splash some of the glimmering green water in my face to wake me up. I wipe the excess water off of my face and then I bend down to drink from the oasis.

"So here you are Azula. Can't believe you didn't tell me you were coming."

I literally choke and spit out my water. I whirl around and see Erde standing behind me with his arms crossed.

"I don't have to tell you anything rocky." I say with just as much attitude.

"Well even if you did I would still know you were here. I mean it is my oasis, I knew you were here last night, but I didn't want to interfere." Erde says.

"Still a gentleman I see." I say teasingly.

"I can be, you should know that." He replies while coming to stand beside me. He then smirks "You're still looking as beautiful as ever."

I raise one eyebrow questioningly "You were looking at my butt weren't you?"

"Now what makes you say that?" Erde says while tilting his head like he's expecting an answer, which he is.

"You perv." I say while playfully shoving him.

Erde pretends to act hurt by my comment and he puts his hand on his chest like he has been offended "I can not believe you said that. That is super offensive to me and my family."
I laugh and roll my eyes, and Erde pulls me close to him and smirks."But sweetheart you love me anyway."

He then tilts my head up and he kisses me. (Thankfully he remembered that I'm slightly shorter than him.) I'm not sure how long he kissed me but man that had to be the best moment of my life.

"Azula!! Azula, Essix sent me to-"

Me and Erde quickly pull away from our kiss and see Tiny standing there. We awkwardly stare at each other until Tiny looks down at the ground and blushes. "Um...Essix wanted me to come find you..."

"Sure kiddo go ahead we'll be right behind you." I say a little too quickly. I can feel the heat on my cheeks too.

Tiny runs off and Erde turns to me and shrugs. "It was totally worth it."

I shake my head and laugh "There's never a dull moment with you is there rocky?"

I hope you guys enjoyed the chapter it's my longest one so far! I liked writing the scenes of Azula and Erde, flash back to an old love interest!! XD
