We land directly in the town square. As usual the square is bustling with the many shop keepers and people milling around; thankfully no one notices us, or at least it looks that way. I look around uneasily "Well let's get out of the square and see if our house is still standing." I say while walking away from everyone.
We turn down a narrow street and eventually it opens to a strip of houses. Briggan walks up to one of them "Well, it looks like it's still standing, let's go inside." He takes one of his claws and fiddles with the lock until it opens and we all go inside.
Inside the house it looks just like we left it. The small wooden table in the kitchen, chipping and peeling stucco everywhere, and how could I forget about the hole I punched in the wall by accident? "Make yourselves at home." I say.
Everyone gets settled and Essix comes over to me. "You alright? You've been acting strange ever since we got here." She asks concerned.
"Um...let's just say the last time I fought Anzo and his gang here some things got destroyed...then that led to me and Briggan being banned from Sandtown by the mayor." I say.
"Are you sure we should stay here then? I don't want you getting arrested." Essix says.
"We should be fine if we leave by nightfall, don't wanna risk anyone seeing the lights on." I reply.
"Fair enough, I'll tell everyone when we'll be leaving. In the meantime you should get some rest too, it's a good ways off until we reach our destination." Essix says.
"Aye aye captain!" I say while playfully saluting Essix.
Essix laughs "You goofball."
