Chapter 5

It was late Thursday night and I was laying on my couch watching, well nothing really, when my phone rang. It was Ana.

I picked it up, but before I had the chance to say anything she started talking.

"Oh my god Sophie, what am I going to do, Jesus Christ. Sophie I need your help, can you help me?"

"Calm down Ana, what's wrong." I couldn't imagine what had happened that would make her call me of all people.

"It's Lilah." She groaned. "She's gone into labour, she's having her baby."

And I needed to know this why?

"The stupid party Sophie, on Saturday, she was organizing everything and I have no idea what the hell is going on except that it starts at 6."

I could see where this was going. "I need your help, can you help me Sophie? I'll pay you."

"Don't be silly Ana, of course I'll help you." WHAT! What the hell was wrong with me. "I'll come over in the morning, we'll sort everything out, It'll be fine." I assured her. You idiot Sophie.

"Oh thankyou, thank god, I didn't want this stupid party to start with." She was honestly upset.

"Don't worry, what time?" I asked.

"Say 10?" At least she was calming down.

"10 is good, I'll see you then."

I hung up and groaned. What the hell was I doing? God, I was being nice, you never got anywhere being nice.

It was late already, I decided to go to bed now, after all, I had to be up and over at Ana's early.

I got up early had some breakfast and a shower. I looked in my wardrobe and decided to wear jeans and flats, after all I wasn't really working was I?

I arrived at Ana's, and when she opened the door she threw her arms around me. "Thankgod for you."

She grabbed my hand and dragged me out the back. Woah, this really was a very nice house.

"Hey." Matt said as we walked out.

"Here is everything." She indicated to a folder of paper's "It's all there Sophie, I just don't know how she was going to set it all up, or anything really." I felt bad for Ana, she was genuinely upset.

I sat down and started going through everything, it was going to be a great party, no doubt about that.

"Wedding planner, are you now the Engagement planner?"

I groaned and looked up at him, only this time he wasn't by himself, he was with a girl. She was tall, blonde, extremely attractive. Exactly the type of girl I assumed he went for.

"Yes, that's exactly what I am." I said, standing up and walking away.

I spent half the day deciding what was going where and talking on the phone, the other half I spent avoiding him.

"I can't believe she organised waiter's and bar men." Ana giggled, looking at me.

"At least I'll know where to find wedding planner, at the bar." Brian said walking over.

"Lucky I'm not coming." I snapped at him.

"Don't be stupid, of course you are." Ana said grabbing my arm and pulling me away. "I'm sorry that he bothers you so much Sophie."

Bothers me? Understatement of the year. "It's not your fault, he just gets on my nerves."

"He annoys me sometimes as well. Did you meet Bella, isn't she something? Lilah and I aren't fans." She whispered.

"She's exactly what I thought she would be." Here I was blabbing to Ana, but there was something about her that made me comfortable.

"Yeah, an idiot." We both started laughing.

"Well I'm going, but I'll be over tomorrow to make sure everything is set up." I said grabbing my bag and heading for the door.

"You are coming to the party aren't you Sophie?" She asked me.

I hadn't planned on it, but I guess I could. "Sure, why not?"

I looked up to see Brian waving at me, that was the reason why not right there. As I climbed into my car I promised myself that I would not drink tomorrow night, otherwise things might get ugly.
