It was so nice to have dinner with Ana and Matt, even if Ana obviously had the shits with Matt and Brian appeared to have the shits with everyone. We really hadn't caught up for a few weeks due to Ana and I not talking, my only disappointment was that they didn't stay for the whole meal, they left to get dessert somewhere else.

"It was nice to see them." I said to Brian, watching them leave.

"It wasn't that great." He snapped.

"What is wrong with you?" I asked, he'd been so happy earlier now he was foul.

"I just wasn't happy with them joining us."

I didn't appreciate the way he was speaking to me.

"I think we should leave." I said standing up.

He looked at me, shocked. "But we haven't had dessert."

"I don't want it." I'd lost my appetite.

"Sophie, sit down." He moved his chair closer to mine. "I'm sorry babe."

I sat back down and he leant over and kissed me. "I don't like it when your angry, it's not you."

"I'm sorry Sophie, really."

"Okay." I sighed.

He leant over and whispered in my ear. "I just love you baby, I don't want to share."

I smiled at him and he kissed me, extremely passionately, in the middle of the restaurant.

"People are watching." I murmured.

"Jealous."

Someone cleared their throat and we looked up at the waiter. "Dessert?"

Of course I wanted dessert, so we ordered and waited.

Brian had his arm around my shoulder and was holding my hand. "Are you happy Sophie?"

I looked at him, what a stupid question. "You have to ask? I've never been happier Brian."

"Good." He brushed his lips over mine.

Dessert came and we sat there eating and chatting and I noticed alot of people had left, I guess we'd been here a while.

"We better hurry up, everyone's leaving."

Brian glanced around and put his spoon down.

"Sophie, you know I just want you to be happy, and I swear I'm doing everything I can to make you happy." He looked at me.

"I am happy Brian." Why was he saying this?

"Are you? Really?"

Oh god, I felt sick. "Are you breaking up with me?"

"What? No. Jesus christ I've fucked this up."

"Fucked what up?" Now I was just confused.

He looked at me then reached into his pocket. Suddenly he dropped down onto one knee in front of me.

"I love you Sophie, from the first moment I saw you I knew I wanted to be with you, I couldn't live without you. Marry me babe."

My head started spinning and I felt like I was going to pass out.

Jesus Christ, Brian had just asked me to marry him.
