Chapter 13: Hyperion's Not The Enemy

Handsome Jack's Pov

So it's been days since Odin came to Pandora. Hyperion was aware of my son at this point, so they stopped looking for him and this time, I ordered them to protect him when he's not with the Vault Hunters. I'm in my office on Pandora and a man in a suit came in. He was from the Dahl Cooperation. "Mr. Jack, a word please?" He requests. I nod and he closed the door. He looks at me and says "I believe your son stole vault documents from one of my bases.". Nice job Odin, stealing from another cooperation. I glare at him, "I am not giving up my son to anyone. Good day." I yell. He turns and stops at the door. He looks at me and says "My men consider him a threat, he must be killed by any means." and storms out. I call Meg and I have her take me to Sanctuary. This time, I didn't care I wasn't hidden. I took the man's threat seriously. I run to his house. Meg and I look for him, but he wasn't there. We run out and call his name. The other citizens stood back in fear and Odin came running towards me. He hugs me and asks me what's wrong. As I explain, the two sirens run from behind him warning him to stand back. Odin quickly turns around exclaiming "No stop! He's not here to hurt anyone!". The sirens stand there in disbelief. I try to explain, "Hyperion is not the enemy here, we are trying to protect him from Dahl!". I admit, they have reason to not believe us, but we want to convince them. Odin steps in by asking "Is there an echo recording of this conversation?". I nod and I show them the recording. It starts to play.

Dahl Leader: Mr. Jack, a word please?

Handsome Jack: Yes, come in.

Dahl Leader: I believe your son stole vault documents from one of my bases.

Handsome Jack: I am not giving up my son for anyone. Good day!

Dahl Leader: My men consider him a threat, he must be killed by any means.

Handsome Jack: Meg! We need to go to Sanctuary right now!

Meg: Yes sir, while we leave, should I order the solders to be on the look out for any Dahl men?

Handsome Jack: Obviously!

They all look at me with disbelief. Odin steps in. He turns around and bows. "Thank you for you're concern dad." he said. He said dad... in front of the others. "This guy is his father!?" One of the siren's asks. Odin nods and tells them he knew about Steele. "Hyperion is truly not the enemy this time guys, Dahl is. They want my head on a pike. If it means teaming up with my fathers company, then we will." Odin sounded like a true leader.
