School had dragged on for Luna. It didn't help that she had woken up in a jittery mood, her stomach churning in either excitement or nervousness. She couldn't really tell, and it didn't exactly help that Luke had been lightly teasing her. In each class her foot tapped on the floor, getting her called out by a teacher at least twice. Michael was acting just as jittery and awkward. During lunch he had spilled his soda on the table as he tried to be smooth around Luna. Ashton and Calum were never going to let that one go. As the final bell rang, Michael met up with Luna at her locker.

"So, I'll be at your house after I get done with detention. Mom said she would drive us, I hope that's okay." The corners of his mouth twitched as Luna nodded her head.

"That sounds great, do I get to know where we're going?"

"It's a surprise." Michael smirked as he leaned against the lockers. He seemed much more at ease. The other three boys joined them after a moment.

"Hey Lu, mum is waiting outside are you ready to go?"

"Yeah, I'll be out in a second." She glanced toward Michael and then to the floor.

"Oh, umm okay. Don't take too long." He eyed Michael for a minute before him and the other boys waved.

"Should I wear something comfortable or. . .?"

"Just wear whatever you feel like wearing. I'm not giving away any secrets." Luna rolled her eyes a little before she shoved his arm slightly.

"Okay then. Be good in detention and I will see you later." She stood on her tip toes and pecked his cheek lightly before she left him standing there. There was heat in her cheeks as she made her way to Liz's car. Luke gave her a knowing look as she slid into the backseat.

The ride home was full of chatter from Liz and Luke. They tried to get Luna to join in, but she was too busy messing with her hair and staring out the window. When they made it home she was the first one out of the car and into the house. She sprinted up the stairs and into her room. As she began yanking clothes from her closet Luke walked into her room.

"What are you doing?"

"I don't know what to wear. Michael wouldn't tell me what we are doing or where we are going."

"Hey, calm down." Luke placed his hand on her shoulder. He began to get her to breath evenly, once she was doing better he guided her to sit on her bed.

"This has to be about more than just clothes, Lu. Now, what else is wrong?" Luna bit her lip as she began playing with her hair again.

"What if I mess this up? Say or do the wrong thing."

"I don't think you can screw this up. Not after the way Mikey was acting today. Both of you were so fidgety and clumsy it was almost disgustingly cute." Luke grimaced as he pulled a disgusted face making Luna roll her eyes, but she didn't say anything. Luke sighed giving up on trying to comfort her.

"How about you text Mali? Maybe she can help you get ready."

"That's. . . actually a good idea, but I don't want to bug her."

"Mali loves you, she'd be willing to help." Luna bit her lip before nodding. Luke grabbed her phone from her bedside table, handing it to her. When she sat the phone down, Luke relaxed back on the bed with his hands resting behind his head. Her phone vibrated signaling Mali's response.

"She's on her way." Luna flopped backwards next to Luke.

"Good, I'm sure the two of you will pick out a good outfit." Luke kept his eyes on the ceiling, his voice a little shaky.
