( I know it's been a week since I've updated, (MEGHAN) but I'm sorry for the wait. I have been thinking about another story I might write and the second book to this book. Yes there will be a plot twister, cliffhanger, all that good stuff for the end of book one. So, enjoy)

When Agent Phil Coulsen steped out of that van, he wasn't ready for what was there. It's not every day the police and National Guard team up to handle a kid. While he and his mission partners were still in the car, Leo Fitz piped up with his Scottish accent.

"So, where are the other agents? The backup? Ya know incase anything goes wrong?"

"My word Fitz your so annoyin when we get to go do important stuff," came a British voice. "Why be nervous?"

"Excuse me Jemma but I get nervous."

Jemma Simmons rolled her eyes at her friends skittish behavior. Coulsen began speaking next. "Guys your here to take the kids blood pressure, pulse, easy baby stuff. And if anything goes wrong, agents Romanoff and Barton are in one if the vans. Fury's with them." Fitz and Simmons looked at each other in confusion.

"Sir," began Simmons, "Nick Fury is dead."

Coulsen's jaw dropped a little and a awkward silence began. Fitz and Simmons didn't know that Nick Fury was alive, and Coulsen just let the cat out of the bag.

Confession time.

"You both have to swear on your lives that you won't tell anyone that Fury is still alive. Or S.H.I.E.L.D might and can kill you."

The two scientists starred at Coulsen with disbelief and awe. They then both swore that they wouldn't tell a soul.

"Good." Said Coulsen. "Now we can resume. And remember I'm supposed to be dead too."

"But you're not..." Fitz mumbled. The van pulled up into the school parking lot, and through the tinted windows the team could see a police officer hauling a girl to the police cars. The van pulled up next to the car and Coulsen got out. Fitz and Simmons stayed behind incase things got ugly. Flashing his badge he approached the officer.

"I'm sorry sir, but the girls coming with us."

The officer was clearly confused about the situation, and the girls emotions were unreadable. Coulsen studied the girl for a second. She had long waves of black hair that reached the middle of her back, light brown eyes, tall for a 14 year old girl, and was sporting a long scratch above her brow, a nose bleed, and a Captain America shirt. What a nice choice in fashion.

The officer began to argue with Coulsen. "Listen buddy, this girl is under arrest for illegal weaponry and endangering all the police officers here." The girl muttered under her breath. Something about not having a weapon and no longer playing nice. Coulsen watched intently as the girl did an odd little movement. She tilted her head slightly to the right and her brown eyes lightened a little. The officer opened his mouth to say something but he never got to say his thought. Instead his eyes glazed over and he spoke like he wasn't really saying his words. "I'm sorry sir. You can have the girl. Enjoy your day."

The officer let go of the girl and he stood as still as a statue. The girls eyes returned to their normal color and the officers eyes lost the cloud covering. The officer then blinked a few times and rubbed his head like he had a head ache and walked away.

Weird, thought Coulsen. Then the girl looked to Coulsen. Her voice pipped up and she addressed him. "Can I help you sir?" She didn't know what was the reason Coulsen was here. Coulsen never had much contact with people under twenty three and he didn't know how to talk to this, child. He tried to start with the basics.
