(Text message from Keegan) "Hey. Didn't see you at school today. I looked for you lunch."
(Text message to Keegan from Casey) "Yeah. I wanted to be alone."
(Text message from Keegan) "So how was your first day back?"
I wanted to say the truth. It was weird, boring, sad, and made me feel like a trophy in a glass with the way everyone stared. It sucked... But I didn't.
(Text message to Keegan from Casey) "It was whatever. How was your day?"
(Text message from Keegan) "Not bad. Lexi asked me out."
(Text message to Keegan from Casey) "You said yes, right?"
Lexi and Keegan like each other. I always thought they'd be a cute couple. Debate team, Key Club, Vegan Club, she's like the Mother Teresa of Rayden High School. I'm pretty sure she'd spend a day trying to catch a fly, to remove it, rather than just kill it.
(Text message from Keegan) "Yeah. We're going to the movies tonight. Wanna come?"
(Text message to Keegan from Casey) "No thanks. I'm staying in tonight."
Why would you ask another girl to go along? Heads up to every guy out there, just don't do it.
Side note, texting with one hand is harder than my math class.
.....
I decided to make something for dinner for when Sarah gets back. Its either going to be grilled cheese, scrambled eggs, or lemon chicken since that's all I can cook. We'll go with lemon chicken.
What should have taken an hour to cook, ended up taking three. I can't wait until tomorrow when I can take this sling off. At least with the cast I have, I can move the upper part of my arm around. The sling hinders all of that.
I set the table, plated the food, and sat down, waiting. Seven o'clock and she's still not here. Almost another hour passes as I do the dishes and eat a little myself.
(Text message from Liam) "What are you doing?"
(Text message to Liam from Casey) "Waiting for my sister."
(Text message from Liam) "So should I not come get you?"
I waited another few minutes and the figured she's not going to come anytime soon.
(Text message to Liam from Casey) "No, come. I'll go."
(Text message from Liam) "=) Be there around nine."
(Text message to Liam from Casey) "K"
Gives me a little bit of time to get ready and clean up.
I threw the chicken and instant mashed potatoes away, washed the plates, and went to get ready. Popping a pill in my mouth, I decided on wearing my black skirt and my spaghetti strapped, white, crop top with my go to shoes, Converse.
Before I knew it, he was there.
(Text message from Liam to Casey) "Here."
(Text message to Liam) "Coming."
With just a little eyeliner on the bottom and mascara on the top, I grabbed my bag and went outside.
"I hope you mind the motorcycle.", Liam said.
"I don't have a helmet.", I replied.
"I brought mine for you. I never use it anyways. Hope on.", he said nodding his head once to come on. "You'll be safe."
Before we drove off, I did have one last question.
"So where is this party at?"
"The Hills.", he said before starting the motorcycle.
The Hills is a gated community in a SUPER rich area. Ferrari's, Lambo's, drugs, celebrities, you can find everything there.
As we drove off, I kept thinking how I never thought I'd be on one of these things before Ryan. It was actually quite freeing to feel the wind directly hit me and smell the flowers in the fields we passed. For a split second there, I felt normal again.
