(POV OF SARAH)

The hospital isn't the only place I've been spending my time. I woke up the other day on the gravesites of my daughter and sister trying to understand how this could of happened. Hoping and wishing I could see them once more and talk to them one more time. I had one job, to take care of them and I failed at that. I failed myself. I keep wondering if the next funeral I attend will be Davids. He still hasn't woken up.

"Sarah.", I hear. Its my dad, Eric.

"Hi.", I responded as I sat in the chair with David in his hospital bed.

"What'd they say?", he asked referring to David.

"Not much. We're waiting. Hoping."

"Why don't you go and get some rest. I'll stay here with him.", he said.

"I'm not leaving.", I replied before he quickly said, " I really think-"

Cutting him off, I snapped at him a bit.

"Dad, I said I'm staying. If you want to stay, fine. But so am I."

"I'm worried about you and Casey.", he replied.

Brushing his comment off, I reply, "Casey's going to be okay."

"But I don't think she is. She needs to talk to someone. She told me she's barely sees you anymore."

I don't want to hear this but he continues to talk.

"You both need to talk to someone. You can't do all of this alone."

Casey has no right to be telling my dad things about me in this situation. Angry, but not wanting to address this with him, I say one last thing before exiting the room.

"I'm getting coffee. Do you want anything?"

"No", he answers.
