Bristol, the name of the club on the outskirts of Rayden. Wearing heels and a short dress that Carmen let me borrow, we all walked in through the back entrance to a VIP area of the club.
"What can I get for you guys tonight?", the waiter asks as we all took our seats in a large U-shaped booth.
"Two of the most expensive bottles of wine on the menu.", Bryan answered.
"Coming up , sir.", the waiter replied before leaving to get them.
Sarah's at the hospital again tonight seeing David. As long as I'm back before two in the morning, I should be fine. She starts her shift tomorrow at eight AM, so in case she comes back to change, I want to make sure I'm home.
The waiter came back with the bottles, even opening them for us and pouring the glasses. After clinking our glasses together, we all began drinking.
"Woah. Won't we get in trouble?", I asked after the cocaine was brought our.
"Naw, it's totally cool. Everyone here is doing something.", Liam said.
"Bryan basically owns this place.", Carmen added.
"Not yet. But I will one day. Plus side about being an only child is that I won't have to share it with anyone.", Bryan replied and we all chuckled.
The "plus side", I thought, about being an only child, is that he won't ever know what its like to lose a sibling or a niece.
"My turn.", I said, so ready to do a line. I'm thinking too much and I don't want to.
Seconds soon turned to minutes and then to hours. That can happen though when you spend much of that time making out with Liam and having fun. So close that I probably could have figured out what he had for breakfast if he wasn't so good at keeping his teeth in perfection condition and clean. Thank God for that.
"We should go. The club's about to close.", Bryan said at exactly 3:53 AM.
Sighing, I suddenly worry about Sarah being home. But you know what? It didn't last long. I had a great night with great friends and of course, Loam who had his arm around me most of the night.
We all took Uber's to the club knowing that we may not be able to drive.
                              "Come over.", I told Carmen.
                              "Tonight?", she asked.
"Unless you have plans.", I replied. " I don't feel like being home alone."
                              "Sure, okay.", she said.
After kissing Liam goodbye, Carmen and I hopped in our Uber and started driving to my house. Drinking water on the way to sober up, or try to, Carmen lit a cigarette.
"Is it cool if I smoke in here?", she asked the driver.
Not speaking a word, the driver nodded in head "yes".
                              "Cool", she replied.
Handing me the cigarette, I took a puff and starting coughing. I handed it back to her. Not my thing at all.
"Cigarettes aren't for everyone.", she added.
We arrived at my house about thirty minutes later. Today's Saturday so I don't have to worry about school for another couple of days. As we stumbled in the house, definitely not sober, we made our way up to my room.
"You can take my bed. I'll crash on the floor.", I told her as I realized I probably sounded like a freak since there's another bed on the other side of the room.
"Or we both can take the bed.", she replied.
Makes it easier for me. I don't feel like making a place on the floor to sleep. Carmen got in on the right side and I, on the left.
"So is it hard?", she asked.
"Is what hard?", I asked with my back facing her.
"Being in here? Being in a room that constantly reminds you of her."
"Everyday single day.", I replied as I looked at Ryan's bed, her posters of the army, and the things I couldn't cover with sheets, slowly falling asleep.
