Won't break her heart

May 27th

"Father! Father! Phillip is coming home from boarding school for the summertime next month! Isn't that great?" Theo asked her father, Aaron Burr. Aaron noticed how much enthusiasm his daughter had. He wouldn't dare break his dearest Theodosia's heart, so he did what he does best: he cracked a fake smile. "That's fantastic, Theo." He said, hating every word coming off his tongue. "Isn't it?!" Theo squealed, jumping up and down.

Little Theodosia ran upstairs to write a letter to Phillip, yet Theodosia Sr. went to go find her husband. "How do you feel about Phillip coming home this summer?" She asked Aaron. He sighed, "I don't know, I'm so confused. How does she feel about him?" Burr asked his wife. "I think she feels as it's more a friendship, but she might want more..." Theodosia said slowly. All the color drained from Aaron's face.

"I hope not." He said
