The sorrow of death

June 3rd
Burr household

Aaron woke up to the sound of his wife breathing extremely heavily, clearly in pain."Dear?" he asked her. "Go get Theodosia." the sick woman sternly told her worried husband. Aaron got out of bed and scampered into his sleeping daughter's room. He shook Theo awake and called her name frantically. "Theodosia, please wake up!" The teen groggily blinked open her eyes, automatically seeing the dread and fear written on her father's face. Theo hopped out of her bed, together rushing into the master bedroom.

"Mama," Theo whimpered. "Come here," Theodosia whispered to her husband and daughter. The dying woman shifted in bed and reached under the peice of furniture and grabbed a wooden box. She shoved the box into her sobbing daughter's hands. "Take care of each other, I love you-" she said, and then went limp. "MAMA!" Theo screamed through loud sobs. She flung herself at the dead woman, almost dropping the box in her hands.

"Don't go..." Theo wispered.
