Theodosia Burr.

Yet soon changed to Theodosia Burr-Alston.

At the age of nineteen Theodosia got married to Joseph Alston. No, he wasn't the love of her life, but he was a good husband. Always put her needs before his own.

A few months after she turned twenty-two she had a son. Aaron Alston.

I year or two after he was born Joseph had to leave to London for work. His family was set to join him once Aaron Jr. turned eight. So in the mean time, Theodosia and her son lived with her father.

Everything was fine until Aaron Jr. turned five. He was extremely sick and bed ridden. Doctors visited daily, telling the young woman her son had a very slim chance of recovery.

Yet she still hoped.

After she finally relized Phillip was dead. Gone forever. She started to write him. Yes, he couldn't respond, but it was how she coped. She even started to write her mother.

Theodosia occasionally received letters from Eliza and Angelica. Apparently after Phillip passed his sister, Angie, went 'crazy' and started talking to thin air saying it was Phillip.

"Mrs. Alston...you must see your son..." a doctor told her.

She stood up from the couch and rushed into her son's room. "Mama..." he whispered.

Theodosia's son, her pride and joy, her sun and moon, her life... passed away that day, right before her eyes.

One day...in the middle of December Theodosia's father, Aaron Burr, came home around dawn, wearing a large black coat.

The woman creeped down the stairs. "Daddy?"

"Go back to sleep, Theo." he told her.

"Where were you?" she quietly asked. "What's in your pocket?"

"Nothing..." he said pushing something farther into his pocket.

"Daddy. What is in your pocket?"

He tried to move away but before he did Theodosia reached in and grabbed something cold, hard, and heavy.

It was a pistol.

She immediately dropped it to the floor and looked up to her father with tears in her eyes. "Who..." she whispered.

"A-Alexander...Ham-milton..."

Pure hatred and betrayal filled her eyes. "I shall not live with a...with a murderer!" she exclaimed, running upstairs to pack her things.
"Theo..." Aaron pleaded.

"No! You are a murderer! You killed another human being! I am going to London early!" she yelled stuffing her bags with clothes. "I am boarding the next boat! Good bye."

And with that she never saw her father again.

Or her husband.

Theodosia stepped on the boat rolling her bags behind her. She walked into the lower part of the boat hoping to take a nap.

The woman woke up to screaming and thunder. "Oh no..."

She quickly wrote a quick letter to Phillip,

My dearest Phillip,

I shall see you soon. You see, the boat I'm on is going to sink...and I'm not even scared. I'm quite excited, actually. I get to see my mother, my son, and of course you again.

See you soon, my love.

-Forever yours,
Theodosia Burr-Alston

She sealed the envelope and put it in a wooden box with all her other letters. She rushed up to the top deck and threw it overboard before the boat was swallowed by waves.

Theodosia Burr-Alston was lost at sea.

Theodosia Burr-Alston was dead.

The end.
