"Y"- Hearing vs listening

Do you know the difference between hearing and listening? Someone could be talking to you and you could be hearing them but are you actually listening to them. If you listen to them then you could understand everything they tell you but if you hear them then you don't really know what their saying.. understanding what someone is telling you is important so listen to them instead of just hearing.....
