Best friend is gone

My best friend is moving school and idk... we lost contact with each other for a couple of week. I just got him back and now he's leaving. I'm sad he's moving school. Honestly he's one of the persons in my life that really know me. He says we will keep in contact but I don't believe that. He's going to meet new friends and we won't talk as much anymore.... he's leaving and I don't want him to but all this is happening for a reason.
