Honest

Never really been honest with you or
anyone for that matter of fact.
I know I should be honest with you
Since you always been honest with me
but you see I don't know how
to tell the truth when all
it does is hurt you.
You say to just let it out, that you
won't get hurt but that's a lie
and you know it so why ask something
from me that I can't give you.
I know you want to know the truth
behind all the lies I tell but I can't
say a word without making it sound
horrible.
