Class is over. Honestly it feels good to have someone to talk to. Veronica is really good at helping people.
Anyway, as we walk out of class Gram stops us. "Well, well, well if it isn't miss know it all and my best friend."
"What do you want Gram?!" I shout as Veronica looks at me and whispers to me but I don't hear her.
"Awww isn't this cute. Lucas what the hell are you doing?! You know she's mine!"
"Gram she's not your property. You said things to her that only someone who hates her would say. So go away."
"What did you just say to me?" He's in my face now. Ready to punch me any second.
When he puts his fist up to punch me, I feel a hand grab my wrist and pull me away. Veronica is pulling me out of the crowd, away from the fight that's about to start. "Come on," she says as we go to our next class.
