The Pain ch.12

Veronica

I feel really bad for just storming out. I can hear him flowing me as I'm walking down the hallway. So I stop, and turn around. He's right there. Our faces inches away from each other.

"Wow, you eyes are beautiful." I feel myself blush as he says that.

"Oh shut up," I say. I've always wished that they were blue but no, there grey.

"Veronica, can I say something?" He says searching through my eyes as I stare at his. "and promise me you won't yell either and let me get through everything I'm trying to say."

"I promise." I keep my promises. He then takes both of his hands and puts them in mine.

"I think you stormed out because you don't want to admit the good about you," he says with his eyes burning into mine. "Hey, look at me, if people continue to tell you that stuff I want to know. If there saying that about you, their really saying that about themselves." Before I can say anything I see Gram in the corner of my eye.

"Lucas, turn around." I whisper. Shockingly, he does as I say. Gram doesn't say anything besides throwing a punch at Lucas which he misses.

I honestly don't know what to do. I'm scared. I watch as more punches are thrown in the air. Then Lucas pins Gram down to the lockers.

"What's your problem?!" Lucas says. I can see his anger.

"You are my problem. Veronica is mine dude and if you are by her aga.........."

"No, if you are by her again I'm gonna beat your ass! You need to stop," Lucas yells.  "Now, you are going to promise me that you will not talk to her, bug her, or annoy her ever again. You got that?"

Gram rolled his eyes. "You know what, whatever, sure, I promise." Lucas let's go of his wrists and pushed him away. He then walked down the hallway fast. Lucas turned back to me.

I jumped up and gave him a hug.
