After what happened with Lucas and Gram, I can't stop thinking about it. He cares about me that much? I know that I care about him a lot, but usually people don't about me.
When the bell rings for lunch, I'm happy. For once, I've never been happy to go to lunch and be made fun of like normal. I get to my locker and Lucas is there. He smiles as soon as he sees me. I put my stuff in my locker and turn around.
"Let's go get some food." He says extending me his hand that I gladly take. We walk down the hall hand in hand.
Once we get down to the cafeteria, Gram sees us. Then the whole table looks at us.
"Just ignore them." Lucas whispers to me. We go get our lunch and find a table. We sit down next to each other. Then people from Grams table come sit with us. I roll my eyes.
"Oh look it here, it's Lucas and Veronica." Says Tyler. He's also a jerk.
"What do you want Tyler?" I say. Honestly, Gram sends his friends over. How shallow is that guy?
"All I want is you to go out with Gram." Lucas immediately stands up. Ready to hit someone.
"I will never go out with that dirtbag. Now go." I say getting really angry.
"If you say so." Tyler and his gang walk away. Lucas is still standing, so I pull him down.
"Oh My Gosh I don't understand them!" Lucas says. He looks at me and I can see his light brown eyes changing.
