Chapter 22

Melody went back at the orphanage, as she entered through the doors, without uttering a word to anyone, she went upstairs to her room, packed her bags quickly then went downstairs. Jax saw her and he approached her.

"Where are you going, mel?" He asked her confused, she looked at him with a blank face and ignored his comment.

"Mel, tell me where the hell you're going? " he asked again this time raising his voice which catched Zach's attention.

"Mel? " Zach said coming toward them.

"Guys please let me pass"

"First tell us" when they saw tears in her eyes threatening to fall down any second, their confused face turned to a concerned one.

"Mel, tell us what happened right now" Zach said seriously.

After this Mel poured her eyes out, tears started rolling down her face.

"I hate him, I hate him, what did i ever do to deserve this?" She whispered

"who? what did he do?"

"Corbyn, h-he told me to go to my lover boy, which is a misunderstanding"

"Come here" Zach said with opened arms, Melody went and sobbed in his arms after a second Jax joined them.

"Tell us what happened?"

"Can we go back first? I want to return to the dorm"

"Okay it's getting dark either way we should head back" Jax said

"What about Corbyn?" Zach asked

"We'll just tell Lillian to inform him that we headed back" Jax replied, Zach went and informed Lillian that they were going. After a moment, Zach appeared with Lillian by his side.

"Mel sweety, can I talk to you for a minute?" she looked worried at the young girl.

"Yeah" she whispered and the both entered a private room.

"Tell me what happened?"

"Corbyn thought that I love Xavier, I heared him talking to Lucy, she was telling him not to hurt me and she was about to tell him about Xavier but i interrupted their conversation and now Corbyn thinks that I love that bastard, he said some hurtful things and he didn't even give me a chance to explain"

"Where you going to tell him?"

"yes i was finally ready to open up but he blow up the chances so I won't tell him anything"

"Yes i understand your choice, I'll tell him that you guys headed back to your dorms, take care of yourself"

"Thank you, bye for now"

"bye"

"Ready to go?" Jax asked when he saw Melody reappear

"yes let's go" The three of them walked to the boys car and they drove back.

"So are you going to tell us what's the true story?" Jax said looking at Mel in the mirror

"When I was fifteen there was a boy in this orphanage, he was seventeen, at first he would always flirt with me and he made me think that I was the only girl in his eyes, he was possessive of me but then I realized he was getting more and more possessive each day i told him we couldn't continue like this but he..." Tears were rolling down my cheeks as I remembered the memories.

"hey Xavier" I greeted him shifting in my position.

"Hey babe" he greeted me back with a huge smile on his face
