Fourteen: He's Here!

     *Alpha, it's us!- rinig niyang saad ni Duero sa mindlink nila.
     Nakita rin niya ang pamilyar na wolf form ni Duero na lumabas mula sa kakahuyan para lumapit sa nakatigil nilang kotse.
     Nagsilabasan na din ang ibang tauhan nila na kasama ni Duero.
     CC didn't stop whispering hysterically as the wolves got closer to them.
     Sila ba ang tinutukoy ni CC na malapit lang sa kanila? Kung oo, bakit parang balisa ito? At takot na takot?
     Muling nagpalinga-linga si CC hanggang sa tumigil ang tingin nito sa isang parte ng kakahuyan. Bigla itong natahimik at tumingin lang doon.
     Tears were flowing from her eyes that he hadn't notice before. She cried silently while looking somewhere.
     *Bakit bigla kayong huminto, Alpha?- ang nagtatakang tanong ni Duero ng tuluyan itong makalapit sa kinaroroonan nila.
     *Your Luna was in distress. Gasper was startled when she screamed, so he stopped the car.- paliwanag niya dito.
     Inilibot niya ang paningin sa lugar. That's when he remembered it, this is where he found CC, almost a week ago.
     Duero shifted back to his human form and put on some pants bago humarap sa kanya.
     "What are you doing here, Duero?" Tanong niya sa kanyang beta ng makapagsuot na ito ng pantalon.
     CC was staring at the opposite direction kaya hindi nito kita si Duero.
     "We're doing some rounds, Alpha when we saw your head lights. We thought you're someone else since you said earlier that you'll be home late." Paliwanag naman nito at napatingin sa natigilang luna.
     Some of his men in wolf forms, already retreated back to the woods. But he can still feel them lingering nearby. They were alert for anything that will pose as a threat against their alpha and luna.
     "This is where I found your Luna." Mahina niyang saad sa mga kasama niya.
     Naging alerto ang lahat dahil sa sinabi niya. Kumawala si CC sa pagkakayakap niya pero alanganin siyang pakawalan ito.
     Ng tingnan siya nito, nakita niyang hilam sa luha ang mga mata nitong nagkulay silver. Her demeanor changes.
     It's her inner wolf who's in control. He lets her go but held her hand in his.
     She must be stressed badly para lumabas ang inner wolf nito at siyang kumontrol muna sa katawan nito.
     Binuksan nito ang pintuan ng kotse at bumaba ito kasunod siya.
     Her gaze was back at the spot CC's been looking at earlier.
     Humakbang ito patungo sa lugar na iyon.
     Walang makikita doon kundi matataas na damuhan pero may kung anong nakikita doon ang inner wolf ni CC.
     "Be alert. Don't let Cordelia out of the car." Utos niya sa mga kasamahan niya.
     CC's inner wolf growled in frustration. Palinga-linga ito sa paligid, tila may hinahanap.
     "Skiá, what's wrong?" Malumanay na tanong niya sa inner wolf ni CC.
     Humigpit ang pagkakahawak nito sa kamay niya. For a human, that grip is bone wrecking, but since he's an alpha werewolf, he felt nothing but the warmth her touch brought him.
     "Dito lumabas si CC mula sa MadWolves Territory." Saad ng inner wolf ni CC bago tumingin sa kanya.
     The hard look on her silver eyes held worry and anger. Her aura was dark also,  it's a darkness that he knew so well for it consumes him everytime he's raging mad and in a state of blood lust.
     With CC's inner wolf, it seems like she was born into it. Just like him, he was cursed to bear the darkness even before he was born.
     His fate was sealed as the new vessel for Erebus, as every first born in their family were.
     He scanned the surroundings. Only trees and tall grasses were seen. But she could see past the trees and tall grasses.
     "CC is very stressed, Alpha. You stressed her very much from the first time you've met. The strong pull of the forced mate bond is already taking its toll on her, physically and emotionally." Sabi ni Skiá.
     "Dagdagan pa ng mga masasamang alaala niya sa MadWolves Territory na kailangan ko ng burahin para sa ikatatahimik niya ng tuluyan. The mad wolves will be the least of our concern dahil may mas dapat tayong kaharapin at hindi sila 'yon."
     Her voice had an edge and slightly husky, unlike CC's voice which he finds alluring and gentle kung hindi ito naiinis.
     Nasa tono rin nito ang inis patungkol sa kanya, but he let it pass. She's CC's inner wolf, they are one as he is one with Erebus kahit magkaiba sila ng ugali.
     The two were sharing the same body but they are far more different from each other.
     "At gusto ko na ring ipaalala sa 'yo na ikaw ang pumili kay CC kaya panindigan mo ang ginawa mo. You've force her to be your mate and luna, and yet you're making her stressed and upset. Ikaw ang nagpumilit, Alpha, kaya ikaw ang dapat na mag-adjust."
     Napatiim-bagang siya sa sinabi nito. Naniningkit ang mga mata niyang tinitigan ang babae na sinalubong naman siya ng malamig na tingin nito.
     CC's inner wolf seemed distant and reserve. Ito na siguro ang isa sa mga side effect ng forced bonding nila.
     Pero wala siyang pinagsisisihan sa naging desisyon niya.
     "And another thing, Alpha." Sambit pa nito.
     Her gaze went back to the bushes.
     "CC and I felt a dark aura habang nasa MadWolves Territory kami. A dark and vengeful aura was lurking at every corner of that place. It caused CC's anxiousness while in there. And I'm afraid to say this but, we just felt it again. 'Yon ang dahilan ng paghi-hysterical ni CC kanina." Mahabang paliwanag pa nito.
     Pinakiramdaman niya ang paligid dahil sa sinabi nito. Naging alerto naman ang mga kasama niya.
     He could feel his men's presence but that's all. Wala siyang maramdamang banta laban sa kanyang luna.
     "I'll keep you both safe, Skiá. And do what you have to do to keep your human safe. I'll do the rest."
     Seryosong tinitigan niya ito sa mga mata. She smiled a little and her silver eyes lit up.
     "I know you would, Alpha." Inabot ng isang palad nito ang pisngi niya para haplusin.
     Niyakap niya naman ito. Kahit ano pa man ang mga nasabi nito kanina, the fact still remains that she and CC are one. Parehong nakatali sa kanya at sa inner wolf niya.
     "Nice meeting you, Alpha Shade Umbra Sage. May the darkness in you protect my human from evilness that will haunt her." Sabi nito.
     Bago pa man niya ito matanong tungkol sa huling sinabi nito, ipinikit na nito ang mga mata hudyat na ibinabalik na nito ang control sa katawang iyon kay CC.
     Ramdam niya ang pagbabago ng aura ni CC. Nakasandal sa kanya ang buong bigat nito at nakatulog na ulit ito.
     Binuhat na niya ito. And for the last time, he scanned the place again before heading back inside the car.
     He'll let the other alphas know that he won't let his mate be dragged into the rogue hunters' issues anymore.
     And he'll prepare his pack for anything that will come their way.
