seriously disturbed.

he'd never been called that before; psychopathic, yes. but not disturbed. it's an interesting way to describe someone, isn't it? it can mean something to one person but something entirely different to another.

like a spectrum, in a way. there are levels to determine what extent you are. ryan assumed sasha thought he was the worst of the worst, but she hasn't seen him snap. not really.

she'd only scratched the surface with him - they all had. they haven't seen him in a fight or even throw a punch.

because he knows that, if he gets riled up, he won't be able to stop himself. so he gets his revenge by messing with peoples' heads. finding out what makes them tick and exploiting every moment of it, something ryan takes great pride in using.

because a little manipulation here and there doesn't scare anyone like it should. no, a bruise or two can do more damage to a relationship than control in their eyes.

he can get away with it again and again because 'he doesn't really mean it. he doesn't know what he's doing.'

but he does. and he loves it.

the power, the control he has over them is addicting. a drug he just can't get enough of; he's the puppet master in their little game.

he believes it's absolutely fascinating how impressionable some people are. merely one passing comment can change their opinions on something they thought so strongly about.

the trouble is, he doesn't know why he does it. ryan couldn't tell you even if you begged.

maybe it's to do with his family. maybe he does it because he could never control the chaos in his own home.

but he tells himself it's his intelligence.

like when mike nearly lost his job. it takes a lot of careful planning to succeed with a plot like that, but he did - well, almost.

he would've, he should say. it was going perfectly until harry broke and ran away, back to the only father he'd ever known.

ryan tried to convince himself the boy was being pathetic. he'd get over it eventually. but then he saw how distraught he'd made him and something clicked.

there was a sinking feeling in his chest that he'd never felt before. not for the care worker, for the young boy who looked up to him.

it just didn't feel right anymore.

so he fixed it. of course, mike found out somehow. he had a knack for knowing who was in the wrong, it probably came with the job.

and after a long conversation, ryan was let off the hook. just like that. to this day, ryan still smirks to himself about how trusting mike is.

hell, he's messed up more times than he can count but the care worker still gives him a chance. ryan's pushing his luck but who can blame him? apparently he's not getting chucked out either way, why should he bother covering it up anymore?

one day, he knows he'll slip up. take something too far and be kicked out, juvenile detention or secure, he hasn't quite decided yet.

but as long as they all stay in their bubbles of self worth and naivety, he can wreak havoc until there's nothing left for him to destroy.

i have no ideas hence why this is so short and basically has no plot to it. if you've got any requests or whatnot then let me know : )
