I avoided Cyrus all weekend. He just kept on texting me over and over again, asking if I wanted to hang out, but I just kept ignoring him or giving him lame excuses. I just could t face him after what happened. I just felt awful, like his boyfriend was cheating on him with me and he didn't even know about it. He thought Walker was this great guy and he just wasn't. I thought that I should tell him the truth about Walker, and Buffy agreed. But, Andi didn't because she didn't want Cyrus' feelings hurt.

At school, seeing them together made me feel sick. Just, Walker made it look like Cyrus was his whole world, but I knew that he wasn't. I kept catching Walker's glances at me, smirking and winking. I couldn't take it anymore! I pulled out my phone and shot Cyrus a text, asking him to meet me at The Spoon. Of course, he graciously accepted and was already there when I showed up.

"Hey," he beamed as I sat down.

Dang, he was adorable. "Hey," I greeted back.

"So, what was on your mind?" He asked.

I felt my smile drop and I looked down at the table. I sorted out my words. I didn't want to do it anymore. "Oh, um, it was about Walker," I said, looking back up at him.

His eyebrows wrinkled together. "What about him?"

"Do you like him?"

He scoffed. "Yeah."

I nodded. "Why?" Asked Cyrus.

"Um, he just-" I took a deep breath. "Doesn't give me a good vibe."

"What are talking about?" His expression shifted and seemed slightly twisted with anger. "He's a nice guy."

"He kissed me at the dance," I blurted out.

Cyrus' mouth dropped open and he blinked slowly. "What?" He asked.

"He-" I started to tell the story, but Cyrus cut me off. "No he didn't," he said.

I nodded. "Yes he did, Cyrus."

He shook his head and stood up. "No he didn't."

I stood up with him. "Cyrus-" he shook his head once again before pushing past me towards the door. I grabbed my jacket from the seat and followed him out.

I called his name and he turned, walking towards me. "Why did you kiss him?" He asked, his eyebrows stitched together.

I felt a tug at my heart. He thought I kissed Walker. I didn't. He wasn't listening. "Cyrus." I felt my heart beat faster. I shook my head frantically. "I didn't."

He shook his head, walking away. I tried to go after him, but my legs wouldn't move with me. My head was spinning. I wanted to say something to him, but my mouth wouldn't form the words running through my mind. I watched him walk down the street, still standing outside of the diner. The cold started to get at me, biting my nose. It wrapped around me, draining the warmth from me. I zipped my jacket up higher and trudged home.
