It took fifteen minutes to tie my tie. I hadn't worn one in so long, so I completely forgot how to do it. I spent five minutes trying to do it myself before I went to my mom who tried herself for a few minutes before searching a video on how to do it. We left a little off schedule and went over to Andi's apartment to pick up the girls. They got ready at Andi's house because she had Bex to do their makeup, but they didn't want to ride on Bex's motorcycle and potentially ruin their dresses or be too cold in the brisk December weather.

When we got there, I went up to the door to get them. I knocked for a while before Bex answered it.

"Aw, Jonah! You look so good!" She squealed before inviting me in. "The girls are still getting ready."

I forgot my phone on the car so I just sat beside Bex on the couch waiting for them.

"Has anything excited happened in your life?" She asked, trying to break the awkwardness by opening up conversation.

I shrugged and said, "I came out to the school and got a lot of backlash."

She patted my shoulder, "Well congratulations! Good for you."

I heard Andi's bedroom door open and heels start clicking down the hall. I jumped up with Bex beside me who grabbed her phone. Buffy walked down the hall wearing a purple and black dress, purple sequins as a top before it cut across at the waist and started a black tulle skirt. She had her makeup beautifully done and topped off her outfit with a pair of black high top converse. Andi was wearing a red and gold dress that mirrored Buffy's with the red bodice and gold sequined skirt that clung to her figure. She had her hair pinned back with a gold bow and she wore black heels. She looked stunning.

"Andi," I said. "You look...amazing."

She blushed. "Thanks, you do, too."

Buffy made a face said, "Wow, thanks."

I laughed and shook the amazed look off of my face, saying, "You look good, too, Buffy."

Bex took too many pictures and invited my mom inside who took more. After a dreadful half hour, we were finally on our way.

The gym was decked out with streamers and balloons. There was a long table with refreshments that I drifted over to. I stood by the punch, eating chips, and Cyrus appeared beside me. He blushed as he reached past me and grabbed a few carrots. He wore a blue suit, God, he looked so good in blue, and a pink shirt underneath, ugh, he looks good in pink, too, a blue tie and a pink pocket square. He looked like a mannequin, his suit was so well pressed. The boutonnière was pinned perfectly, his shirt sleeves were pulled out the perfect amount and folded at the cuff of his suit sleeve, and his black shoes were so well polished that I could see my reflection. I couldn't stop staring so I forced myself to avert my eyes, looking into my drink and taking a sip.

He laughed from beside me. "I can't drink the punch. It's a communal bowl and I don't know what anyone's put inside."

I laughed at his remark and said, "Cyrus, it's just punch."

He cocked his eyebrow at me. "Are you sure?" He asked.

I looked back down at my drink and suddenly felt sick. I placed the cup back on the table, abandoning it. Walker came up from behind Cyrus, wrapping his arm around Cyrus' waist. Of course. I rolled my eyes and walked away, over to where Buffy and Andi were dancing. We laughed and danced for a little while before I got too hot and had to take a break. I went to the bathroom and splashed some water on my neck, calming down my body when Walker walked in.

He went over to the sink beside mine and started washing his hands. I kept looking over at him out of the corner of my eyes and I slowly washed my own hands, but he kept a stone cold face. Once he was done and I was still washing my own, he reached his arm past me and grabbed paper towels from the dispenser. He leaned in so close that his face was beside mine. His lips by my cheeks and I could feel him breathing on me. Once he grabbed them, he stayed standing there, slowly drying them. I looked up at him and had a smirk on his face.

"You having fun?" He asked.

I shrugged and grabbed paper towels of my own, walking over to the trash can. "Yeah."

He followed me over and I tried to stay away. Every step forward, I took a step back until I had my back against the wall and he had his chest a few inches from mine.

"I bet you'd have a lot more fun if you were here with me," He whispered with a smile creeping up his face.

He placed his cold hand on my cheek, running his finger along my jaw line, before lifting it up slightly and pushing his one lips onto mine. I tired to back up more, but I couldn't, so I turned my head away. But he was strong. He tightened his grip on my chin and yanked my head back over, throwing his lips into another kiss. I brought my arms up and started placing them on his chest, pushing him out of the way. He wouldn't move and I couldn't move my lips off of his, so I kept hitting his chest and squirming out of his reach.

He finally backed away. "What's wrong?" He asked, pulling his hands up to my neck, loosening my tie slightly and unbuttoning the top button on my white shirt. I felt an odd newfound strength and I pushed him by his chest off of mine with great force before turning and walking out of the bathroom, buttoning up my shirt as I went.

My vision seemed to blur as I walked into the gym, the amount of people suddenly becoming overwhelming. I quickly spotted Andi and Buffy and I cut through people, making my way to them.

"Walker just kissed me," I said when I got over there.

They both looked over at me, shocked. "Oh my gosh," said Buffy. "Seriously?"

I nodded frantically. "Just now, in the bathroom," I answered. "I think I'm gonna go."

"Well, then we're leaving, too. You're our ride." Andi said.

We all walked over to the little table with our jackets on them and put them on while I texted my mom. I took one more look over my shoulder at the crowd in the gym, and saw Walker wink at me.
